Was I wrong? Is this place not abandoned? No, it's not possible with the amount of rust and dust in this place. I could hear grunting as a man tried to push the door further open to get through. I didn't want to waste any more time, so I quietly grabbed a lead pipe off of a shelf nearby and faded into the shadows behind one of the many tall shelves. I heard the intruder let out a relieved sigh as they finally pushed in through the door. He pushed the door closed behind him and the sounds and light from the storm faded slightly. I could slightly make out the heavy footsteps as he wandered around my hideout. By the sounds of his hesitant steps, he doesn't seem to be familiar with the space.
Then, the man turned down the row just around the corner from my hiding place. I could hear him slowly making his way up the aisle. I peered through the small spaces in the shelves and could slightly make out a shadowy figure. He seemed to have a larger build than I do and he was slightly taller than me too. He looked to be more muscular, and I began to feel less confident. All I have going for me is my lead pipe and the fact that he is unaware of my presence. Once he notices me I'm done for.
The man got closer and closer and I readjusted my grip on the pipe. When he got to the end of his aisle I quickly went to step out and swing. I was so nervous that I tripped over my own foot and slammed into the side of the shelf. While I quickly regained my footing, the intruder spun around. I swung the pipe as hard as I could. The man grunted and threw his arm up. The pipe hit his forearm and he shouted out in pain. With his other arm, he reached up and grabbed the pipe before I could swing again.
Uh oh.
I began to panic and my fight or flight decided that fighting was useless. Before I knew it my feet began to move. But apparently, they weren't moving fast enough because my shoulder was shoved back almost immediately, and I was slammed against the wall. The lead pipe that I once controlled was pushed against my throat and the pressure was increasing. So this is it. I didn't even get to apologize to Kenma. Or say thank you to him and Kuroo. This is almost pathetic. If I didn't have a pipe pressed against my throat and wasn't about to die, I would laugh. The world is ending in the next five days and I'm going to die because I chose the wrong abandoned garage to hide out in.
I'm going to die. I was trying to suck in any air that would reach my windpipe but that wasn't enough. I tried pushing myself free but his grip was too strong. I'm scared. Suddenly, lightning flashed and the space was illuminated once more. I could see the intruder's face now. He was sopping wet from the rain outside and possibly sweat. His hair was laying flat on his forehead. He looked angry. His brows were furrowed and his golden eyes were filled with determination.
I quickly realized that since I could see him, he could also see me. And the face he saw was the face of complete fear. His livid facial expression quickly fell into a shocked one, and the room fell into the soft darkness once more. I felt the pressure on my throat release slightly and I gasped in as much air as I could. After a second he released me completely and I slouched to the ground and began coughing furiously. He stepped back a bit and regripped the pipe. He lifted the pipe, ready to swing, and spoke.
"Who are you?" Is this guy serious? I steadied my breathing and let out my shaky voice.
"None of your business." I slid away from him slightly, but he just took another step forward.
"I asked who you are. What's your name?" He asked more stern this time. When I didn't answer he lifted the pipe a little bit higher. I threw my hands in front of me quickly.
