"Would you cut that out!" Jean yelled from the stale next to mine. "I don't know what you're talking about," I smiled to myself raking the dirty hay into a bin. "Don't play stupid with me. I know you're throwing hay into my stale."

"I would never do such a thing," I gasped looking between the bars. He was brushing his horse's mane, I noticed the piece of hay sticking out of his uniform. "You're a pain in the ass."

"Yeah, but at least this ass is good looking am I right?" He looked over to me with a scowl. "Who's ass are we talking about," Connie walked in raising a brow at us both.

"Mine. Doesn't it look nice?" I said placing my hands on my hips. Connie shook his head turning around, "Mine's the best."

"I hate you both," Jean sighed putting away the brush. He sat down shutting the stale door, letting out a long breath. "If I have to stand any longer, my legs may go numb." I nodded agreeing sitting down as well. "Oh, that reminds me, I brought you guys water." I grabbed my water thanking him.

"Are you guys nervous about tomorrow," Connie asked sitting down with us. I didn't want to think about it much, but I knew it was gonna come up eventually. All the people we may lose, hell I could die myself. "Yeah, it's all I can think about. I've been trying to keep my mind off it."

Connie apologized for bringing it up, taking a sip of his water. "Promise me you guys will survive," Jean looked between the two of us. I was a bit taken back by the statement. Jean rarely showed any emotion around us, as he described it "makes you weak".

"Hey don't get all mushy on me now," I blushed punching his leg. He looked over to me his neck and cheeks turning a bright red. "I'm serious."

"We'll all be alright i promise." I stood up pulling them both up pulling them into a hug. "I wanna join!" I could hear Sasha yelling from the last stale. She rushed up to us squeezing herself in. I smiled lightly holding them as tightly as i could.

"Brats back to work." Levi grumbled, always there to ruin the moment. "Yes Captain." Connie said rather quickly walking past Levi slowly, then running away almost tripping. I would've laughed if Levi still wasn't glaring at us. I walked back into my stale picking up the rake once more.

"Hey y/n.." I looked up to the bar separating the stale seeing Jean looking at me. "What's up."

"I meant what I said a minute ago, you better survive or i'll kick your ass." I laughed he always made lousy threats. "Yeah yeah, same goes for your horse face." His face dropped and the normal scowl came back.

"You can be so annoying sometimes," he scoffed turning away from me. He began to slowly smile and i did myself. I reached down grabbing another handful of hay, creeping over to him. When I seen he wasn't paying attention I threw the hay, it went everywhere including Jean's cape.

"Y/n stop!"
