"Hey, are you going to finish that." I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I turned my head slightly seeing a girl next to me, I pushed my plate over to her seeing the huge smile overcome her facial features. "Thanks!" I nodded my head turning my focus back in front of me.

"You don't talk much do you," she asked gnawing on the stale piece of bread. "Eh i just don't feel like talking most of the time."

"Oh gotcha." She smiled continuing to eat her food. "What's your name," i sighed sitting my head on the table. "It's y/n."

"Nice to meet you, i'm Sasha!"

I watched as the sun slowly started to disappear behind the trees, leaving a soft yellow/orange glow over the horizon. The wind started to pick up making it feel really nice out. If only it would've felt like this during training this afternoon.

"If you don't mind me asking, why'd you join the scouts." I laughed to myself, this girl was sure nosy. "At first i didn't have a reason, just felt like i was doing a good thing. But when the battle of trost occurred, many of my friends live's were taken. So i felt as if i owed this to them, to dedicate my heart so that they don't die in vain."

She suddenly grew quiet, she finished her food and just sat next to me letting what i said sink in. "I'm sure your friends are very proud of you y/n."

"I hope so." I sighed standing up stretching lightly with a yawn. "Well it was nice talking to you Sasha." I walked out the doors down the corridor that lead to my room. "Hey y/n wait!"

I came to a hult taking a glance over my shoulder, Sasha ran up next to me trying to catch her breath. "Would you like to sit with me and my friends tomorrow for breakfast." My eyes widened a bit, ever since i lost my friends no one ever try to get to know me let alone even talk to me.

"Sure, i'd like that. See you tomorrow Sasha." I smiled feeling my heart speed up, "See you tomorrow y/n!" She turned on her heel walking down the opposite way of the corridor and leaving my sight. I turned facing the way to my room, but i couldn't move. I stood there thinking of what just occurred.

I wonder why a nice girl like her would join something like this. I started walking the smile never once leaving my face, it was like it was plastered on never wanting to come off. I opened the door to my room, and noted everyone passed out so i quietly made my way over to my bed lying down.

I shut my eyes thinking about tomorrow.

A new day, a new beginning.
