"Eren Yeager will be coming here today, and he will need to be on close watch." My Captain pronounced to us. We were all formed into a line listening to what was planned for the day. I was one of the lucky ones in my class that got to become an MP.It wasn't all that much fun as everyone said it was, I liked action here and there, but no one did anything here except drank or who knows what. I huffed lightly slouching over not caring what he said. He tended to ramble on about nonsense anyway. I remembered Eren from training. He spoke highly of the Scouts and he kept to his word when he said he'd join.
"Y/l/n! Are you listening?" I was smacked on the back of my head snapping me back to reality. I hissed lightly rubbing the back of my head. "Yes sir." I glared rolling my eyes. I could tell my captain was scared shitless. I'm pretty sure he's never witnessed a real titan in his life. I have no clue how he got to join the MP's. He's a self-entitled bastard.
"What's up with you lately." Hitch nudged my shoulder keeping her attention forward. "Do you guys enjoy being in the MP's?"
Marlo allowed himself to join the conversation and began to scold me, "Being an MP is a tough job therefore only the best can join y/n." I snickered to myself. Marlo always would get himself worked up over nothing, it could be pretty annoying sometimes but I enjoyed doing it.
"Oh shut up, everyone knows that everyone joins the regiment to slack off. You're no better than the rest of us Marlo." He looked on the verge of exploding, his eyes wide and veins in his neck looked on the verge of popping. Hitch was bent over wheezing. "God, you can be so annoying y/n."
"Right back at ya." I turned on my heels walking outside waiting for the fun to begin. The sun was high in the sky, shining just the right amount of sunlight on us.
The carriages came up to us, and a door opened revealing a short man who was quite attractive. He looked annoyed, couldn't blame him for all the crap the MP soldiers were talking. That's all most of us were good at, as some would say, "all bark and not bite."
He looked me in the eyes, like he knew I'd been staring at him. I turned away feeling the heat rise to my cheeks, hard telling how long i had been staring at him how embarrassing. "Y/l/n, come and cuff Yeager." My captain yelled standing next to Eren. I walked up to them getting a good look at his face, instantly I recognized who it was. Jean Kirstein.
I smiled to myself and I knew Jean could tell that I knew it was him. My captain walked away, and Levi stood next to us.
"So do you guys plan on telling me where Eren is," I asked resting my arm against Jean looking between the two of them.
"What are you talking about brat." Levi rolled his eyes crossing his arms. For how short he was, the man was pretty intimidating. "I graduated with those idiots. I know this is Jean, though if I wasn't friends with him I probably wouldn't have noticed." Jean kicked my ankle glaring at me.
"I look nothing like that suicidal maniac." Levi didn't utter a word, he insisted on not speaking.
"I don't plan on telling anyone, you can trust me."
"Would you shut up, we're not telling you anything." I sighed giving up knowing Levi would stick to his word. My captain came back over putting cuffs on Levi as well. Levi looked unfazed.
"Just look at you, humanity's strongest." My captain said letting out an annoying chuckle.
He took a swig out of the bottle in his hand, which was most likely liquor letting out a belch. 'How professional' I thought to myself.
A loud bang could be heard along with a strong rumble to the ground. I looked over into the city seeing a giant face over the top of all the buildings. A titan. But how did it get here?
"B-but how!" My captain mumbled to himself, he looked as if he was gonna piss himself. "That's the same one from the expedition. Armin was right." Jean looked to Levi who's reaction never changed, still the blank face. I looked between them seeing how they looked so calm like they knew this would happen.
"Uncuff us brat." Still, in a situation like this, he could be an asshole. I took a closer look at the titan surveying how it looked. Blonde hair, cold blue eyes, fighting stance. "Is that.. Annie?" But how was this even possible, she was a titan shifter like Yeager?
I took the keys out of my pocket, unlocking both of their cuffs. "Y/n watch out!" I heard Hitch yelling. What sounded like a loud crack could be heard, turning to glance over my shoulder, a large piece of concrete was falling in my direction. I felt two arms wrap around me waist and I was tackled to the ground. The rock landed taking out the two carriages, and a few MP soldiers.
"Does that brain in that skull of yours work," I opened my eyes slowly seeing Levi above me with a scowl. "Yeah just doesn't most of the time." I tried to joke but received a slap to my head, which was rather hard. "Alright, alright I'm sorry."
He stood up wiping off his black suit. I stood up myself, looking to where the piece had come from. What I'm guessing was Eren's titan had Annie's titan pinned to a roof punching her. So did that mean Annie was the bad guy, this whole time i've been trying to be her friend, she was just lying to us.
Everyone was quiet, only the sound of loud crashes and occasionally a few scream could be heard. "You're bleeding." Levi was pointing at my hip. I looked down noticing a little bit seep through my uniform.
He started to walk towards the building, looking back at me to give me a look. I followed behind him wincing, it hurt to walk and just to move it in general. I silently cursed that this building was so huge. It took centuries just to find the bathroom. I sat on a stool while Levi looked for a towel.
I slowly pulled up my shirt seeing a large piece of rock still stuck in it. "Oh, that's just great." He crouched across from me taking a closer look at it.
"I'm gonna have to pull it out." He sighed putting the towel in my hands. He tugged on it lightly making me almost scream. My face started to burn and sweat droplets began to develop on my forehead. The pain was so strong my chest started to burn. He took back the towel dabbing it lightly with cool water.
It still hurt but not as much like it did in the beginning. We wrapped the bandage over it and I pulled my shirt down slowly deciding it was best not to tuck it in. "You need to throw that shirt away, it's gonna stain."
"Alright mother," I smirked going to get a sip from the faucet. I turned the knob sticking my head under it. I felt something strong push my head in the stream almost making me choke. I pulled back peering at Levi. He looked pleased throwing the towel in the trash bin.
"Damn brat."
