I'm woken up to someone stroking my cheek, I smile as I open my eyes to find my dad sitting on my bed stroking my cheek, I sit and hug him seeking comfort.
" Happy Birthday sweetheart" my dad wishes now soothingly stroking my hair.
" Thank you, dad " I mumble as he stroke my hair causing me to drift back to sleep.
" Get up sweetheart, you have a lot of things to do today " my dad chuckled as he noticed me drifting back to sleep.
" five more minutes dad " I mumbled snuggling in his chest, but my five more minutes of sleep was destroyed by the voice of confetti followed by my two best friends who busted shouting birthday wishes.
" Happy Birthday Lili " they shout in the union as I lift my head towards them and smile they rush towards me tackling me in a hug resulting in my falling back on the bed.
" Thank You guys " I laugh wrapping my arms around them.
" You guys get ready and be down in 30 minutes " dad informs and excuses himself.
" I can't believe you are 18, oh my God Lili, you will be announced as the Alpha within few hours oh my God I can't wait " Caly squeals excitedly squeezing me tighter.
" I know right, my Lili is growing up," Keith says dramatically pretending to wipe a tear.
" Drama queen " both me and Caly say in union and end up laughing was Keith starts tickling us. After staying in the bed for a while we decided to get ready and start the day. All the pack members wished me as I thanked each one of them as we followed my dad to the training ground where the ceremony was being held.
The training ground was beautifully decorated with fairy lights wrapped around the trees surrounding the ground, the seats were placed circularly and at one end there was a high chair probably doe the king, most of the seat were occupied who were mostly the Alphas except for the Royal Council and The King.
My dad moved to the clearing in the middle followed by his beta and gamma who were the fathers of Caly and Keith. My dad stood head held high, power oozing through him as he began the ceremony.
" I the Alpha of Silver Moon Pack welcome you, Respected King, The honourable Royals Council and the Alphas and my pack who too are present here to witness as I pass on my Alpha title to my daughter, Celimine Catherine Scott". I stiffness when my dad called my full name but relax when both my friend squeezes my hand. I step forward my head held high as I walk to the clearing where my dad is with a blank expression on my face. I heard mutterings, scoffs and snickers as I made my way through the seated Alphas. Not letting their reaction affect me I stared at my dad who held a proud look as I made my way to stand beside him.
" Celimine Catherine Scott was challenged for her Alpha position in Silver Moon Pack by Alpha Ryder of Midnight Pack which is the second largest and stronger pack after Silver Moon Pack " my dad announced as several gasps were heard from the members of my pack and cheers from few Alphas and few members of Royal Council but a powerful growl by the King, which shook the ground made them seal their mouth and lower their head in submission. A man stood who was in his 20s stood up smirking and made his way towards the centre.
" Rule of the challenge is simple whoever loses must hand over his title and pack to the winner " my dad announced as he moved away from the clearing followed by his beta and gamma leaving on my and Alpha Ryder on the ground.
" You think you a weak girl can defeat me, no chance " Alpha Ryder scoffed as he took his position. Anger bubbled in me as I took my position.
" You'll not know until you fight me, Alpha " I replied calmly noticing as he took a step right, and arms in front of his upper body leaving his right side unprotected.
" I bet you will lose within a minute, a woman can never run a Pack " he hissed making my anger rise in me like lava.
" Less talk and more fight Alpha " I gritted as I balled my fist and hit his right rib which he foolishly left unprotected, a crack was heard as I hit him in the ribs not giving him time to recover I punched his face which caused him to stumble backwards holding his face I ran towards his to punch his jaw as he dodged my attack, I raised my arm to punch his right rib which was injured he punched me on my jaw sending me back word. He stalked towards me clenching his jaw as he tried to punch my chest but I held his hand twisting it as he cried in pain, I punch his injured rib hard as he went back landing on the ground hissing at the pain.
His eyes glowed indicating I pissed his wolf he jumped towards me shifting midair but I moved away at the last second resulting in him stumbling and landing on his face. His wolf growled as he ran towards me with bearing its sharp canines I moved again punching his other side of rib sending him flying as he landed with a thud on the ground. It whinned as it stood up shaking his head he howled in dominance making the low-rank wolves bow their head in submission. He sprinted towards me as I too ran towards him when he was a foot away from me I moved to a slight left as I jumped on his back clutching its neck. The force of my jump on him made him land on his stomach before with his paws on either side of his head, I jumped on his neck burning his paws to the ground with my right foot on his right paw and left foot on his left paw and my arms around his neck pulling is backwards a little more pull and his neck would snap, it's howled in pain, but I was far from listening all I saw was red, I heard the wolf whimper in defeat, his heartbeat decreasing slowly but my mind was signalling me to let go but my body refused instead I put pressure on its paws causing it to howl in pain.
" Alpha Ryder accepts his defeat, let go " My dads Alpha voice boomed as he stood in front of me, I looked up to him as he stood in front of me a very small growl came within me which was heard by only me, my dad and the wolf beneath me who whimpered, dad's eyes widened in shock but he soon composed himself.
" Alpha Celimine LET GO " My dad growled looking straight into my eyes, after a few seconds of intense staring my grip on the wolf loosened, blinking my eyes I got up from the wolf underneath me. I stood beside my dad my eyes scanning every face like a predator searching for his prey. Shock, amusement, admiration, respect and proudness were the expression held by the people around me. My gaze stopped at the King who had a mixture of all expressions but the expression which stood out was the calculative expression as if he was trying to study me, I broke eye when my dad announced me the winner.
"Like you, all have witnessed the challenge, I would like to proudly announce the winner and the new Alpha to Silver Moon Pack, my daughter ALPHA CELIMINE CATHRINE SCOTT " my dad's voice doubled meaning he and his wolf were in control. Something in me stirred causing me to shudder as my dad began to narrate the oath.
" DO YOU ALPHA CELIMINE CATHERINE SCOTT TAKE SILVER MOON PACK AS YOURS?" my dad and his wolf asked, this was it I had proved my worth, I made my dad, friend and my pack proud. Closing my eyes to take deep breaths, I opened them starting at my dad with newfound determination and strength I replied.
" YES I DO " my voice boomed sounding foreign to my ears.
" DO YOU ALPHA CELIMINE CATHERINE SCOTT OATH TO RESPECT, PROTECT AND FIGHT FOR YOUR PACK AND PACK MEMBERS?" my dad asked
" YES I DO " I replied staring at my dad and his wolf in their eyes which held authority, power as an Alpha and proudness as a father.
" I INTRODUCE THE NEW ALPHA OF SILVER MOON PACK ALPHA CELIMINE CATHERINE SCOTT," my dad said turning towards the crowd who cheered mostly my pack. My gaze roamed around my pack landing on two particular people who stood I motioned them to come forward.
" DO YOU BETA ACCALIA SMITH AND GAMMA KEITH FERNANDO TAKE ALPHA CELIMINE CATHERINE SCOTT AS YOUR ALPHA OF THE PACK SLIVER MOON ?" my voice boomed as I looked at my best friend who stood proud as they stared at me with respect and determination.
" YES WE DO " they replied in union along with their wolf.
" DO YOU BETA ACCALIA SMITH AND GAMMA KEITH FERNANDO OATH TO RESPECT YOUR ALPHA AND STAND WITH YOUR ALPHA TO PROTECT OUR PACK?" I asked
" YES WE DO " they replied to which I nodded, I felt the connection with my pack their happiness and excitement reached me through the bond. I had one more thing left to finish. I turned towards Alpha Ryder who was in his human form I walked up to him and stood in front of him.
" I refuse to take the Pack of Alpha Ryder, The Midnight Pack" I announced which caused Alpha Ryder to look at me shocked and the crowd quiet down.
" I dint fight to conquer his pack, I fought to warn everyone person present to hear as to what would be the consequences if any of you decide bring any harm to my pack, to clear any possible threat on my pack, and to prove my pack that they can trust their alpha to protect them so that they can sleep at night in peace without worrying about their families in danger" I announced earning few approving nods from the council and look of respect from my pack.
" Instead of the pack I would like to ask a favour from Alpha Ryder, I want him to start training his female pack members as equally as men. Do you agree Alpha? " I asked facing him who nodded and disappeared in the crowd which began to move towards the backyard where the gathering would be held.
" We are proud of you," my dad said as he hugged me.
" We are proud of you Alpha" I heard two voices in my mind, my eyes widened in shock as I turned to look at my beta and gamma who were smiling ear to ear, I turned towards my dad trying to mind link him but failed.
" It is because you share a bond with them as an alpha you can mind link them " my dad answered my confusion. I sighed feeling disappointed for not able to meet or talk to my wolf, every werewolf once turned 18 his or her wolf to communicate with our human form for the first time. Clearing my emotions we made our way towards the yard.
