Chapter 3

LUCIAN'S POV

Tall trees were the first thing I saw as I opened my eyes, I had no idea where I was this forest wasn't my pack, I walked trying to look for someone or some sign to ask for help but I couldn't find any. Light peeked through the trees in front of me I rushed towards it thinking it might be a clearing where I could find people but was disappointed to find the plain clearing in between the forest.Suddenly I heard a pain of cry I turn towards my left and found a woman lying on the ground looking at someone above her, I followed her pleading eyes and found a man standing in front of her, their face being blurry to my eyes.

    " I trusted you, we trusted you," she told with a look of betrayal, as she sobbed.

" I loved you, I still love you " the man hissed at the woman who was now looking at the ground.

" Why " she whispered looking at him to which the man laughed a burst of evil laughter.

" I want to be strong, powerful, rule the world, with you by my side " he whispered the last past looking at her.

" And it's possible only when I mark you," he said kneeling in front of her as he pulled her roughly towards him.

" Don't you dare, he'll kill you," she told glaring at him with hatred.

" Let's see how he will when I will be the strongest and powerful person in the world once I mark you," the man told as his canines extend and his head dipped towards her neck. A scream left her mouth before her body went still in his arms, sensing this the man pulled his head to look at the woman he canines blooded.

A powerful howl that shook the entire forest was heard as the wolf bigger than the normal wolf emerged through the forest, when his eyes landed on the female who lay still, he let any other loud howl indicating the loss of his mate as he ran towards the man whose eyes were wide with shock and horror.

My eyes shot open, as I sat on my bed breathing heavily, sweat decorating my forehead, this was the same nightmare which I get often since I shifted, every time the dream would stop at the same part I wasn't sure what was the dream about or why was I getting the same dream for years. Signing I turned towards the clock to check the time, it was 4 am not wanting to sleep anymore I got up and head to the bathroom to freshen up.

Once done, I made my way towards the backyard of our house as I shifted and went for a run letting my wolf take the lead as I sat back and watched as he was enjoying his morning run.

"Good morning " I greeted everyone as I settled on my chair on the dining table, I had returned from my run, showered and got ready for the first day of my senior year.

" Good morning, honey," mom said smiling delightfully as she saw me.

" Are excited for your first day? This will be your last year" mom asked excited, she was always a bubble, always smiling or giggling. I smiled nodding my head .

" I can't wait to get out of that hell hole called the school " Lupus brother muttered making me chuckle, I didn't understand why he hated school being the topper in the school.
