Chapter 9

Rose was sitting on the floor between Dwayne's legs who sat on the couch. She was french braiding her hair. She wore short blue denim shorts, a floral crop top and an oversized leather jacket. Once she finished she got up and jumped on Marko ''Got you'' she laughed

He chuckled ''Not anymore baby girl'' he gently pushed her to the ground and got on top of her. Rose laughed and tried to push him off. He was too strong and pinned her arms down. Paul came over and started tickling her sides

Rose squealed ''Stop...Please stop dick wads'' she said in-between laughing.

''Boys. Get off'' David said. He looked pissed

The boys helped Rose up. She rolled her eyes at him and sat on Pauls lap. ''I got a genuine question'' she said with a cheeky smile

''What is it'' David said, cigarette in his mouth

''So you know how I'm your mate and all. Does that mean you're each others mates'' she giggled and Paul playfully and gently smacked her head

David rolled his eyes ''No. We're a pack. We share you. We fuck you. We don't fuck each other''

Rose giggled even more as Paul chuckled. ''So you love me but not each other'' she asked

''It's a different kind of love'' Marko smirked

''Let's go to the boardwalk'' David got up from his 'throne' and we went to the bikes

Rose jumped off of Marko's bike. ''I'm gonna hang out with Eliot'' she said

''Tell him I say hi'' Paul sniggered

Rose rolled her eyes and walked away from them. She went to a phone box near Max's store. She put in a quarter and called Michael

''Hello?''

''Hey Sam, it's Rose. I was wondering if I could speak to Michael she asked

''Is he your boyfriend'' Sam asked

Rose laughed ''No, we're friends''

''Sure'' Same said uncertainly ''I'll go get him''

As she was waiting for Michael, she looked out of the phone box. It was Dwayne, he was with someone. Rose glared at them even though they couldn't see her. She was going to follow him

''Hey, Rose'' Michael said as he was smiling to himself

''H-hey'' Rose said ''I was wondering if we could meet up tonight if you want'' she said

''Sure'' Michael silently punched the air ''Where''

''Near the café, if you want'' she replied

''I'll be there in twenty five minutes'' he said excitedly

''I'll see you soon'' she hung up the phone and quickly walked down the road. She kept distance between her and Dwayne but made sure she was close enough she could see

Suddenly he stopped walking. Rose panicked and quickly hid behind a wall. She looked over and he was with a girl. They were holding hands. Then he kissed her.

Rose's eyes widened. She froze. She felt everything stop. Tears began to flood out of her eyes. She turned her back against the wall and slid down to her knees. She covered her mouth with her hands and started crying. After what seemed forever she slowly turned her head to see if they were still there, they were gone.

Rose quickly got up and rubbed her eyes. She smiled and acted like everything was okay. Even though it was not.

She quickly ran to the café. She waited until she saw Michael. She walked up to him and hugged him. He hugged back. Once he pulled away ''Have you been crying?'' he asked worriedly
