Chapter-4

A week later

So finally today was the day when both the families were going to meet each other at the Saxena house only. It was going to be the first meet for both the persons and they were very anxious. Abhimanyu was more irritated than anxious because of his family member's constant talking and not to mention the teasings of his little brother. He just wanted t go to the office and work but couldn't because of a certain special meeting( note the sarcasm)

Abhi:(irritated) Kartik will you please stop it!!! it is just a meeting for god's sake. Stop saying the girl bhabhi all the time.

Kartik: I know bro that it is the first meet but trust me, I have a gut feeling that the girl will be my bhabhi only.

Abhi: FINE, I just don't want to talk to you at this moment so will you please leave I need to get ready for work.

Nivedita:(entering his room) why are you always after him Kartik leave my little boy.

Kartik: oh come on mom, your son is not at all a little boy. I mean I am okay with being your little boy because I am very nice and sweet but this 'hulk' is not at all little.

Nivedita: okay, you are only the little baby happy? but Abhi what am I listening to, you are going to the office right now?

Abhi: yes mom I need to go right now, I am having a meeting today.

Nivedita: a big no, you will not go anywhere. If you forgot I may remind you that we all have to meet the girl today and so you won't go anywhere.

Abhi:  how can I forget( he thought). Mom but the meeting is important I need to discuss some big points in the meeting and I cant take a leave.

Nivedita: you have to take a leave today, cant you postpone the meeting for tomorrow and moreover it is Sunday today, you should let your employees rest too. (giving puppy eyes) won't you stay?

Abhi: mom, please don't give me that look. Okay fine, you again won, I am not going happy?

Nivedita: ( smiling widely) very happy

And with that, she left after pulling his cheeks and Kartik gave him a teasing look and too left. Abhi sighed loudly and thought about informing his secretary that he will not come today.

Saxena House 

Here everybody was busy preparing for the meeting. Sonali was busy in the kitchen making snacks and doing wonders on her field. Karan was busy doing the office work and talking to his employees. The servants were busy cleaning the house and helping Sonali, whereas Aditiya was busy in his room doing god knows what ( hmm very secritive🤫🤫) but somewhere in all these things Naina was sitting very quietly in her room lost in her deep thoughts, her chain of thoughts was broken by Aditya who came and silently sat beside her. 

Aditiya: what are you thinking doll 

Naina: Ohh... no nothing bhai I was just...umm I was just looking at nature

Aditiya: yeah, nature is very beautiful but you know doll you suck at lying so now tell me what is bothering you.

Aditya knew what was she thinking but he wanted to hear it from her mouth only. He wants her to talk to him and tell him about her worries because she has to know that he is there, so he kept quiet and waited for her to tell him.

Naina: It is not bothering or something but I don't know how to frame it into words. My thoughts are not able to vocalize. 

Aditiya: that is what I am trying to mean, doll you should vocalize yourself as much as possible and not be scared I am there for you. Just tell me and maybe I am able to help you.

Naina: Bhai, all the events that happened in the past are just roaming around my mind and I am not confident about this marriage topic and I know papa told me that this is not the end and the decision will be mine but I am scared.

Aditiya: doll, look into my eyes and now tell me what are you scared of?

Naina: i..i am scared of....

Aditiya: strangers? not being confident? scared o the future? scared of the new decisions? scared of new feelings? scared of taking a wrong step? hmm? 

Naina: ( shocked) how do you know?

Aditiya: (smiling) because I know you and I can understand you and your feelings. Naina I am your brother. And for the matter of your feelings, it is just normal and it happens, and I might add you are not weak or anything like that, you are the strongest it is just your insecurity that is making you feel like that but trust me doll I know you are confident enough to make a decision.  If you are not sure about something then your family is there and I am always there.

Naina: ( in tears) I know Bhai

Aditiya: just don't let your insecurities overpower you and if you feel down then go and look in the mirror, how amazing you are. A professor, beautiful and caring by heart and soul, great daughter and sweet sister, you are everything baby. 

Naina: (crying) thank you so much Bhai, but marriage 

Aditiya: doll at some point in life everybody has to get married and we both have to too. I know at the dining table that day I didn't say anything about this matter because I thought Mumma and Papa are enough but knowing your hiding nature I had to come.

Naina: but Bhai I don't know how he is and.....not to say but he is divorced too

Aditiya: then know him, nobody is telling you to just meet and marry. Take your time and meet each other if you feel like and if you don't then it's not the end. About him being divorced too thought that it is not right but after thinking I feel you should give him a chance maybe it was not his fate, and if anything goes wrong you can always back out. 

I am not telling you not to fight if you face struggles but if it is not in your control then step back. But remember doll do not judge him on the first meet and do not ignore your inner conscious if he is not good, remember your inner self always knows what is right and wrong, so listen to it always. Rest I know you are wise enough to think.

Naina:(smiling widely) thank you soooo much Bhai, you are the best in this world and I love you to the infinity. You always know how to read me and help me, thank you, thank you, thank you

Aditiya: oh hello! you are my sister okay so it's my right and duty to help you so don't say thanks and I love you too.  

Naina: ( in her thoughts) now I am ready to meet you, let see how it goes

(So yeah this was the chapter, I know it is moving slow but this part was important as I have shared Naina's feelings and also told some lessons that are not just in the chapter but for real life too. One should always be confident enough and believe in itself and trust his inner conscience and also not judge a book by its cove, just like mine you know.😅😅
