Now that I knew the vibe of the restaurant, I was able to find something proper to wear and way more easily than last time. I chose this low cut black dress. The two openings at the front allowed me to show off my new beige heeled sandals.
The click clack of my shoes resonated in the house as I walked downstairs to find everyone already dressed and ready to go. I stopped midway to meet the teary eyes of everyone as Tom's back was facing me. He quickly turned around when he realized that his family's attention was focused on the stairs. His eyes met mine for a quick second to slide to my outfit. My posture highlighting my slim figure and freshly tanned skin, made me shine. Tom's mouth opened slightly as he turned the rest of his body towards me. I could feel my entire body shake as his stare burned my skin. A sudden tint of pink peaked on my cheeks as I left Tom's warm gaze to join him. I gripped the railing of the stairs as I scanned again Tom's evening outfit. He was wearing a perfectly cut burgundy suit. The fabric hugged his biceps tightly, which flexed the size of his muscles. He had accessorized with fashionable glasses and his favorite watch. All I could see in that moment was him. All I could hear was the sound of our heartbeats pacing at the same rhythm of the tiks of his watch.
I took one last step before I looked up at those stunned familiar faces surrounding me and I couldn't help but wonder why such strong emotions had taken over everybody. I mean even Harry was giving me a tender smile.
"Why is everyone looking at me like that?" I chuckled shyly, blushing even more.
"No reason... let's wait in the car. Come on..." said mischievously Nikki, while walking out.
"Come on!" Nudged Sam annoyingly to Harry who was looking back and forth between Tom and I as if he was watching a movie or a play. He followed his twin outside with a sigh, leaving Tom and I alone.
"So..?" I asked while taking a little spin on my tip toes.
"Darling... you... you look radiant..." he said in an almost whisper. His eyes were devouring my silhouette with hungry yet soft eyes. I was confused as to what my appearance was doing to Tom.
"Tom..? Are you ok?" I asked timidly, snapping him out of his trail of thoughts.
"Ye-yes! I'm perfectly fine Baby... let's go." Tom said with a grin as he held up his arm.
