Lazuli laid in her bed, completely tired. She despised the mornings. She hugged a pillow to her chest, burying her face in it as she envisioned Goldwath. The thought made her smile and talk in her sleep. "I wish we could be together," she muttered. She chuckled, bringing the blanket up to her neck. "I love you too, silly..."

Faint knocking could be heard, but she didn't pay attention to it. She grumbled and hugged her pillow tighter, turning her back to the door.

"Goldwath..."

Creak.

A whisper. "Your Highness?"

"Huh?" Lazuli dazed awake, vision blurry. She shook her head and looked behind her to the door. Starshern had peeked through the crack of the door, eyebrow raised in curiosity. Lazuli felt herself flushed from the embarrassing moment, rising and yawning. She stretched, scratching her ear.

"Apologies for the intrusion without your permission, I was worried when you didn't answer right away," Starshern apologized.

"No need. You're completely fine." Lazuli waved her paw. "Anyway, what is it you wish to see me?"

"Your Father and Mother request your audience at once."

Lazuli blinked. "Oh, ok. Let them know I'll be ready in 10." Huh...That's weird. What do they want with me?

They were waiting for her in the throne room.

Lazuli's heart squeezed at the sight of her Father glaring at her. It was a mixture of anger and confusion, but mostly anger. That was never a good sign to her. Did.... Her ears shot up. Did he find out about Goldwath...??? Oh I hope not... Aquaman, help me-

Ultramine guided Lazuli to front of him. Instinctively, she bowed in respect, trying her best not to shake. He gave her the permission to lift up her head and cleared his throat. "Thank you for coming on such short notice, daughter," he said.

"Is...Is something the matter, Father?"

Aquamarine leaned forward, paws pressed to Ultramine's shoulders. "We're concerned about you, sweetie."

"Concerned? About what?"

"Well it seems you've been having your heads in the clouds as of late," Ultramine said. "Something's been preoccupying your mind, which clearly isn't your studies. Something.... or someone." Lazuli jerked in response, holding in a gasp. Ultramine raised an eyebrow at her. "Well?"
