She was...the one who saved me? That majestic mermaid....no, she's an Atlantean, is she? She sounded gorgeous, I hope I can see her again and hear that sweet voice of hers...Ouhhhhh, my head hurts so much.

Goldwath stirred awake and found himself in a cave underwater, feeling himself float and sway in the current of the ocean. Looking around, he only saw barnacles and starfish on the cave walls. Curious, he pushed himself closer, jerking to keep himself from sweeping out into the wide blue. His heart raced in fear; he was afraid of water. He never swam in his life before, and when he tried last time, he nearly drowned. He brushed a claw on the barnacles, feeling their rough, bumpy skin before poking at a single pink starfish. They were squishy.

Carefully, Goldwtah got a steady balance on the floor of the cave and gently pressed himself to the wall, leaning his head forward out the entrance

Carefully, Goldwtah got a steady balance on the floor of the cave and gently pressed himself to the wall, leaning his head forward out the entrance. It was dark, indicating it was nighttime, and cold. Corals and sea plants, from kelp to seaweed, swayed in the gentle waves. A school of small fish swam by him, startling him. He jumped back and kept himself pressed, shivering. It's really cold...Where can I go when I can't swim at all?

"Oh, thank Aquaman you're awake!"

Her voice...!

He poked his head out once again to see the direction of his rescuer's voice, finally seeing her full appearance as she approached. She indeed was beautiful, a very beautiful mermaid wolf, with pearl bracelets on both her paws and olive green eyes. She was lighter than him in fur pelt color, sporting a bright pink scar that streaked her left shoulder. He retreated into the cave as she swam in. His face flushed red, heart beating fast.

She's so beautiful.... Oh no-

"How are you doing? Anything else hurting besides your head?" she had asked him as she placed what looked like to be a medical kit on the cave floor. Her body close to his as she inspected him made him freeze. He gently shook his head, ignoring the throbbing pain that radiated throughout his head.

"I- uhm-- J-Just my head only that hurts, honestly...." he explained, trying to rub his head, instead only rubbing the bubble that surrounded his head. Well that explains why I haven't drowned yet... "What's this bubble doing here?"

"Oh! One part of my powers is creating pockets of air in the form of bubbles," she elaborated. "That's how I kept you alive here. It's how I would help any surface dweller, or any sea creature that require air to breathe, like dolphins and whales. They come to me for that help. Pretty cool power, don't you think?" Her paw rested on his shoulder.

Mmmh-- Ignore it-- "Y-Yeah. Really cool."

"Well, I'm gonna have to pop this air bubble for now to tend to your wounds. Hold in your breath for me, please. I won't take long."

"Uhm...." Goldwath darted his eyes around, slight panic rising. "I...What if I drown? I'm uh...a little afraid of bodies of water, if you can't tell-"

She rubbed his shoulders gently. "It's ok to be afraid of the ocean, but you have to give in to trust. The ocean's your friend, not your enemy. Listen to it. Trust it. It won't kill you unless you disrespect it or panic. I'm here, I promise."
