Your name fell repeatedly from Kendall's lips as she rushed through the front door. She was worried about you after everything that went down just minutes ago, knowing that the words from her family would cut you deep.

The blinds were closed, the lights all off, making the room pretty dark. It was awfully quiet until she heard you sniffle from the sofa. She quickly looked over at you and her heart broke into a bunch of pieces upon seeing you curled up with a pillow hugged to your chest as tears fell from your eyes and down your puffy cheeks.

"Are you alright, baby?" She asked as she walked to you and slowly, you lifted your head to gaze up at her. You shook your head, causing a sad sigh to fall from her lip as she took a seat and pulled you into her arms.

"Your family hates me."

She closed her eyes as the words fell from her lips. She didn't want to agree but deep down, she felt like they did, too.

"I just wanted them to like me because they're important to you and they didn't even get a chance to know me."

"That's their loss." She whispered. "They're the ones missing out on getting to know you. If they refuse to even put in the effort, then they've got no one to blame for all they'll miss out on. That's not a reflection of who you are though. I need you to know that."

You exhaled shakily, sniffling afterward as you buried your face in her shirt and tried to find comfort as you breathed in her smell.

"I've been through a lot over the years. They think they're protecting me but they're going about it the wrong way. I've told them repeatedly how different you are from everyone else I've been with. How I've never been so in love or so happy before. If that's how they want to act, if this is how they'll be treating you - the love of my life, the only person I want to spend forever with - then I don't want to speak to them."

"They're your family, Kenny. You love them, they love you."

"Yeah, maybe so. But they had absolutely no right to make you feel so bad about yourself. What they said was unnecessary. So, I'm taking some time away from them to focus on my girl. If they want to apologize, I'll listen. But for now, I just want to hold you and let you know how much I love you."

You smiled up at her with red eyes and puffy cheeks, but she found you absolutely beautiful nonetheless.

"I love you too."

She leaned down to give you a quick kiss. But she got caught up in the taste of your lips and the way they moved so perfectly against hers that she couldn't pull away.

Soon, you were lying on your back with your arms around her neck as you held her close to you and shared a sweet little make-out full of loving but passionate kisses.

You were so caught up in one another that you almost didn't hear the knock at the front door. But you did and you pulled away, catching your breath as she stared at the door.

"Expecting someone?" She wondered and you shook your head.

With a peck to your lips and a sigh falling from hers, she stood up and made her way to the front door. She opened it and came face to face with her family, who looked quite sad and apologetic.

But their expressions weren't enough for her to feel bad for them and cave into forgiving them. Her protective side came over her and she rolled her eyes at them.

"What is it?"

"Can we talk?" Kylie asked.

"I don't know. Y/N's in the room and I'm not letting you speak to her that way again."

"That's why we're here. We want to explain and apologize." Khloe said and Kendall looked over at you, wordlessly asking if you were alright with this or if you'd rather them go home and speak another day.

But you hesitantly nodded and Kendall let them inside before she rushed to you to hold you, hoping her embrace would give you some comfort.

"Y/N," Kylie spoke quietly, all eyes on you. "We are so sorry. Truly."

"Why'd you say that stuff to me? It really hurt my feelings."

"We know." Khloe sighed. "We were just afraid of our Kenny getting hurt again."

"But I told you already - she's not like that. I know her better than all of you. She's my girlfriend. She's the sweetest girl and she loves me for me. Not the Kendall that the rest of the world sees and thinks they know, but for the real me. And I love her."

"We're happy for you." Kris smiled.

"Yeah, but we just worried she wasn't like that. You've had so many people use you and make you feel bad about yourself. We just wanted to protect you. But obviously, you don't need that. You're in love and we should've gotten to know y/n before we formed any opinions. Because now, we see she's a good person and you genuinely love and care for each other." Khloe said.

"We're really sorry. Truly." Kylie added. "Please forgive us?"

Kendall looked at you, watching as the wheels turned in your brain before you agreed.

"Let's just start over. Please? You're so important to Kendall. I only want you guys to like me."

"We do and we're happy to start again," Kris said.

"I'm Kylie." Kylie smiled as she walked to you, holding her arms out for a hug, which you gladly accepted. "Welcome to the family."

Kendall felt son much better as she watched you interact with her family. It was nice to see them getting to know you. Because she knew, at the end of the day, after they get to know you, they're bound to love you almost as much as she does.
