It's 64 years later from the last time Octavia had seen Godric. Since then, she has lived in various places until residing in Bon Temps. Living in a house that she owns thanks to her magical abilities, Octavia has lived safely away from human prying eyes and vampire hearing.

For the past several years before this chapter starts, Sookie and her brother Jason Stackhouse have known about Octavia's secret, and with their help from human friends, they've kept her secret quiet. Even Eric didn't know how close she was under his territory since becoming Sheriff.

It's unknown to her that Godric has gone missing as their bond had been closed off since Germany, 1945 by Godric's doing.

This chapter starts where Season 2 does. Around the time when Sookie gets attacked.

Driving at night normally gave people the worst nightmares. For some, it was because of the darkness. For others, it was the shadows in the darkness. Even with full lights on and a mind set to a single destination, nothing else mattered except for when your brain told you something was wrong. Unfortunately, Octavia's brain had been telling her something was wrong for days now. And it wasn't because of the weird magic she was sensing in Bon Temps. Vampires under her control had spread the rumors. Witches she had kept close ties with useful information and chatted away. The humans had cared less than usual or didn't know what was happening around them. But one thing was certain: something drove her closer to the worst place she pictured Sookie to be.

Fangtasia.

Driving as fast as Octavia could towards Fangtasia, she could feel Sookie inching closer to death. Misunderstanding why and what could've happened, anger and anxiety fueling her emotions, the rumbling of a storm a mile away could be heard. Octavia tried to think it wasn't her doing, though it was. The longer she lived through each century, the more powerful she began with each passing year. The moment Octavia parked her car outside of the club, the screams of a female human could be heard inside as she rushed to see Sookie. Laying down, she was screaming in pure agony, with large claw marks covering her back. Running over to her, the old doctor before her smacked Octavia's hands away as Sookie cried out for help. Sookie's eyes found Octavia's violet ones. The old doctor smelled of a human healer. In Octavia's entire 818 years of life, there were only a few healers she knew. Her being the last one for now.

"I don't want no help from another vampire. Now back away!" She was mean at such an old age as Octavia stepped to face her.

T-Tavia!" Sookie cried out as tears swept down her cheeks. Her nickname rolling off Sookie's lips sounded weak as Octavia tried to hold in the urge to feed off her special blood. Luckily for the hybrid, it smelled like poison right now.

"You do need help, though, doc," Octavia spoke with a firm tone as the doctor only stared her down. When Sookie moved closer to Octavia, she placed a good weight on top of Sookie, making sure she didn't move another inch.

"Vampire blood was already rejected once! You feed her again, and she'll die-"

"My blood won't do that to her! I'm a Sera witch." Octavia spat back to the old crone as she merely leaned back in surprise. Giving the hybrid a suspicious look, her thoughts were loud enough to hear the magical word Octavia always feared to hear from others.

Hybrid.

"Find a syringe. Then we'll see." She ordered back as Octavia almost ripped her head off before Sookie spat out a foaming substance, a defect of the poison in her body.

Rushing around at vamp speed, she found nothing around the bar before throwing her hands up in the air from her sudden anger. Faintly hearing two males talking, Octavia regretted the decision to move. Speeding into Eric's stupid office, both he and Bill Compton stared her down, one more surprised than the other. Especially since Eric had no idea, Octavia was near. Even their bond as progenies had been closed off by her doing.
