It was only two hours since Octavia landed back in Dallas as she overlooked her loft located in the city's heart. She needed to make sure nothing was out of place while away. Even though she had powerful barriers up to shield away everything from witches and vampires, it was still something she couldn't ignore. Using magic to seek out her strongest spellbooks and weapons, everything remained behind a sealed cabinet, locked with the most potent spell laced with her blood. With the markings carved inside the wood still visible to the hybrid witch, she sighed heavily, feeling instant relief. The rough texture of the brick walls showed how much time had passed from her last visit as she glanced around. Seeing her furniture covered in white sheets made her believe he old roommates had been long gone. Frowning at the empty sight she was left alone in, Octavia took her time to uncover each piece of vintage furniture as she awaited a call or text from either Eric or Sookie.

After another hour had gone by, Octavia was able to uncover everything left behind in her loft and unpack. With a cup of hot tea in her hand, Octavia strolled over to the large window that showed the nightlife beauty of Dallas, Texas. Remembering her vampire-human pleasant flight to the city, she pondered on the friendly destination part that was overheard on the announcements. She knew it had been a few years since she was away from her home in Dallas and wondered if it had genuinely changed. Though she stayed hidden amongst the humans and vampires alike, Octavia believed not all could remain friendly to the other species. Even Bon Temps took a while to get used to Vampire Bill.

Octavia jumped in her skin as her phone's ringtone blared across the room, the hybrid forgetting completely it was over there. Sighing out from the little jump scare from the small device, Octavia stepped away from the large window and placed her cup down on the table. An unknown number was displayed across the blue screen as she furrowed her brows in confusion. No Name was written across in white as she hesitated to answer the random call. Surely Eric wouldn't call her from a random phone. Neither would Bill since he relied on Sookie to get a hold of Octavia. The more she let the phone ring in her hands now, the more she began to lose her train of thought about who the call could be from. Before the ringing could stop completely, she answered the phone with little fear.

"Hello," She answered with determination and a little harsh, trying to be intimidating in unison.

"Wad up, Tavia?" Jason's voice could be heard from the opposite end of the line as she nearly dropped to the floor with relief.

"Jason" She smiled wide before falling to sit on a comfy white chair. She rubbed her eyes at the sound of his laughter.

"Did ya stay in bed for too long?" He asked.

"Uh no, you just...your call was unexpected," Octavia admitted it felt strange.

"Oh. Sorry if it's a little late to call. I was thinking about you."

"I'm sure you were, as you always do, but why do I get the feeling something's wrong? You rarely call me Jase."

Silence fell from the opposite side of the line as Octavia wondered if something was wrong. She hoped Jason would open up.

"Is it not acceptable to say I miss you?" Jason questioned.

"It is when you're telling the truth." Unfortunately, Octavia had the feeling Jason was lying. The shaking of his voice said it all. Jason took a deep exhale before speaking again.

"Something fucked up's going on here." Jason's voice sounded odd, strained maybe.

"Where?" She ushered.

"I don't think I can say-" Jason paused before anything else was revealed. Octavia wanted to fight back on this, yell at him to keep going with the conversation, but something deep within her bones told her not to. Something deep within her magic told her to wait, and Octavia was not one to go against her magic.
