Michael and I just got back from New York last night and today was Bobbi Kristina's 1st Birthday!
My beautiful little baby girl was one year old today, and I honestly couldn't be a prouder mother. Although my marriage to Bobby was bad, I can say that the only thing truly good that came out of it was that sweet little angel.
It was because of her that I was able to keep getting up and face the world when I was lost in my heartache. But now that Michael's in my life and I'm pregnant with our child, it's only gotten better and better.
Unfortunately, because we had gotten back so late, we didn't have a lot of time to prepare for a birthday party. But hopefully, Michael and I can do something special to honor our baby girl on this day.
Walking into Bobbi Kristina's nursery, Michael and I came up to the crib to see my little girl wide awake. With a warm smile, I said as I lifted her out of her crib,
"Happy Birthday, Bobbi Kristina!"
Michael said while placing a sweet kiss onto her forehead,
"Happy Birthday, Sweetheart! You're one year old today, can you believe it!"
Our one year old looked at us with an inquisitive look that caused both Michael and I to giggle. Walking out of the nursery, I said,
"Don't you worry, baby girl. Today's your day! And it's gonna be the best day ever!"
As we made our way into the living room, my jaw dropped to see a whole bunch of 1st birthday decorations being decked out throughout the house!

Looking to Michael, I asked, "Oh my God! This is incredible! Michael, honey... Did you do this?"
Michael answered with a grin, "Yep!"
Confused, I asked, "But, I don't understand... I thought there wasn't gonna be any time to prepare for a party."
Michael explained, "That's why I called ahead of time and had our staff help set up and get the decorations. Bobbi Kristina may not be my child by blood, but she is going to be my step daughter. And I want to help do whatever I can to help make her 1st Birthday celebration special."
Touched by his sweet gesture, I said while also addressing my baby,
"Oh, baby! That is so sweet you! Thank you so much! You see this, Bobbi Kristina? You're Step Daddy made all of this just for you! What do you think about that?"
