Michael's POV

September 9, 1994

It has nearly been one day since both my son and daughter were born, and let me tell you! Aside from marrying my soulmate in a few months, nothing could truly make me a happier man! Last night was truly an emotional roller coaster. To find out that Whitney and I were blessed with beautiful baby twins made this moment all the more wonderful.

But what made this time in our lives even more special, was our family and friends sharing their love and support for us and our new editions to the family. Just this morning, we received phone calls from Diana Ross, Elizabeth Taylor, Macaulay Culkin, Eddie Murphy, Cece Winans, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Chris Tucker, James Brown, and even Lady Diana herself all congratulating us!

Our parents had just left to go to lunch, But they have been their all morning to support Whitney and I as our children began receiving their first checkups and mandatory vaccinations. Even Joseph had a proud look on his face as he held his grandchildren for the first time. I know he and I may have had our problems in the past, but as long as he can show our children the love and respect they deserve, than we can work everything else out ourselves.

But with all of that said, I couldn't wait to bring our babies home to Neverland.

While Whitney was breastfeeding Michael John, Michaela had just woken up in her hospital crib. Looking down at my little girl, I sang to her,

Baby Kayla

One day old,

How do you like

The world so far?

I giggled as I saw my sweet little girl flash me a smile and grab my index finger, and continued on with my song

One day old,

What a lucky, lucky

Girl you are...

And I gently tickled Michaela under her chin, earning a few adorable giggles from her.

Overjoyed at hearing my daughter laugh for the first time, I said to Whitney with excitement,

"Did you hear that, Whitney? Michaela laughed! Our baby girl just had her first laugh!"
