It was 6 in the morning when a jarring alarm woke the peacefully slumbering teenage girl named Chiaroscuro Aimi. She tumbled down from her comfortable bed with a loud thump, the covers accidentally grazing the bedside table and bringing all of the things on it crashing down as well. Startled by the noise, her adoptive fathers Aizawa Shota and Yamada Hizashi came rushing inside her room to find the girl's ebony locks peeking out from under a blanket burrito she had gotten herself stuck in....what a way to start the day...
Brown eyes opened themselves with great difficulty and Aimi looked at her fathers who were struggling to hold back laughter, "Dad! Papa! Help me out here! This isn't how I imagined I would kick off the first day of high school..."
Chuckling, Hizashi also known as the pro hero Present Mic pulled his daughter up and out of the covers brushing her hair back, "Good morning little listener." His blonde hair was down and quite messy, the sleep still not gone from him since he was very still very quiet...well as quiet as Present Mic can be...
"It's morning alright...Thank you, Papa! Dad quit rolling your eyes, I don't do that when your scarf gets tangled up with you in it!" Aimi half groaned and half whined, the morning fog gone from her brain thanks to her oh so graceful entry into the day.
That was all it took for Aizawa to shake his head and leave Aimi's room to get some coffee. It was way too early for his husband's and daughter's antiques. And he knew that just like him, Aimi would need some java before she would be civil enough to deal with her other father's excitement.
Aimi dragged herself to the bathroom to survey her state of being. She focused on her face and chose to ignore the dark circles under her eyes, for not being Aizawa's biological daughter, she sure looked like it. Long layered, shaggy hair framed her toned 5' 7" curvy figure and her skin was not tan enough to be called tan yet not pale enough to be called sickly pale. Given that she had time this morning she hopped in the shower and sang along to the music her father was blasting in the living room, no doubt he was dancing and almost setting the kitchen on fire...again. Not sparing her body a glance she quickly dressed herself in her UA uniform.
Going downstairs, she was enraptured into a warm hug by the Number One Hero, All Might himself, "Young Aimi! I am so proud of you! Are you excited for school today? I'm so glad you decided to accept principal Nezu's invite to attend the school! Even after you told us not to put in a form, several heroes wanted to see you go to UA." He squeezed her tight.
"Uncle Toshi! Can't...Breathe...!" She wheezed out before he let her go and went poof into his 'smol might' form with a cough.
"It's okay I guess.." Aimi sighed and sat down to drink her coffee and eat her breakfast, courtesy of the yellow caterpillar in the corner
She finished her meal in silence and the 3 adults looked concerned for the young girl. Tragedy had struck her again and again and she had not been given the chance to be a normal teenager. After spending her middle school years in a government program, she had gotten her hero license three years ago, at the tender age of thirteen. But even so, she hadn't got full control over her powers yet since she didn't have what one would assume to be a traditional quirk(s?).
The atmosphere seemed to dampen but thankfully before it was time to go, The door burst open, and in came an exuberant lady which the males in the room occasionally feared, "First day of school! How innocent! This turns me on! Yeahhhhhh!" The crack of a whip broke the glum blanket clouding the room and Aimi almost laughed at her self-claimed Aunt, Pro Hero Midnight who came strutting in the room like a supermodel in her hero costume, "Hey Auntie Nem."
The ecstatic woman came up behind Aimi and shook her back and forth, "Oh honey! You can't leave the house with a rat's nest like that! Come let me do your hair!"
Aimi raised a hand to her head and realised that she had forgotten to do it. So with no further argument, she allowed her aunt to pull the thick unruly shaggy mane into a tight high ponytail that flattered her dainty oval face. When satisfied with the placement of wayward tendrils on her face, Nemuri squished Aimi's cheeks, making her look like a fish. With that, the team of heroes left for their long grueling day of school.
Outside the grand gates of the academy was the media who wanted to catch a glimpse of All might and were tipped off. The swarm of people was slightly unsettling and Aimi had to break off from her beloved family a bit before they reached the entrance. Seeing a random not so random teenage girl with the adult pro heroes would be odd to say the least, since even after 3 years several journalists were trying to uncover the identity of the young prodigy pro hero, N-Themis. It was rumored that the young hero would attend UA by default to get her high school education.
The media had only managed to snag a single interview with the then 13-year-old after the Ministry and Army had announced their collaborated effort to successfully train a so-called prodigy. A mask had covered the girl's face, concealing her identity to preserve her privacy and to keep her a secret for the purpose of undercover missions. A teenage girl would be less likely to be a threat to villains and would seem to be more easily deceived by them. Since then, the government was proud to announce several individual and team achievements that the girl had brought forth. She had turned into a mystery to the general public. All that was known about her was that she could control all the elements in several unprecedented ways...but was that really all that there was to her?
Little did they know, it was only the tip of the iceberg, and she was indeed here. A ghost of a smirk was on Aimi's face as she passed the media and walked into the large building.
