Figuring Myself Out

Chapter 2

Aspen Pov.
September 14th Saturday 11 a.m.

I was woken up by my sister and mom arguing loud enough to wake everyone in the apartment building.

Good thing that Kades is a deep sleeper because I don't want to expose her to what goes on in my household.

While Kades is knocked out sleep I brush my teeth before taking a shower to get ready for the day.

"I guess I look okay." I said.

By the time I am done getting dressed my sister and mom are quietly arguing so I can wake Kades up.

"Get up bitch." I said.

"10 more minutes mom." She mumbles.

I hit her with the pillow again and she looks at me confused and low key disoriented.

She looks around to see where she is while I am laughing my ass off because of her face.

"Where am I?" She said.

Before I could even say anything she gets up from my bed grabs her bag and heads towards the bathroom which I was glad because I wanted to leave as soon as possible.

"Finally" I said dramatically.

What she had on was similar to what I was wearing which was a white graphic tee, acid washed jeans, and converses.

We went to the kitchen and my mom had left two plates of breakfast for us on the kitchen table.

"Good morning I made you two some breakfast enjoy." my mom said.

"Good morning thank you you didn't have too we could have made it ourselves." Kades said.

My mom laughed and I just nodded and sat down next to Kades and we started eating pancakes and eggs that my mom had made.

After Kades and I are done eating my sister Chandler came and looked at me with a glare.

I rolled my eyes at her grabbed my phone, keys, and bag and Kades and I was out the door not looking back.

"So what are we doing today?" I asked.

"Let's go to the movies." She said.

I smiled and nodded, I was so excited because I haven't been to the movies in a long ass time.

Instead of walking like I had suggested Kades somehow convinced me to take the bus which I don't like doing at all.

We both paid the lady and sat down in the middle trying to stay away from any people thanks to Kades. There were more people sitting in the front so we avoided it.

~ 3 stops later

I was to busy looking outside at all of the stores and trees that I hadn't seen Kades get up from her seat.

"Dude come on." She said.

Before I could even get up from the seat I was in she looked at me and said something.

"Are you good?" she asked.

I looked at her and nodded before giving her one of my best fake smiles I have ever given to anyone. She took that as an okay and we got off the bus.

When we arrived I saw tired because we had to walk up a hill because Kades wanted to avoid someone who I have no idea.

"Good afternoon how may I help you two today?" the ticket lady said.

"Hi I would like two tickets for The Captains Adventure please." Kades said.

The lady gave her the tickets and we went in line to get our refreshments from the stand. I got candy while Kades had got popcorn and a soda.
