Figuring Myself Out

Chapter 14

Kades POV.
May 6th Wednesday 9: 45 am

I had woken up at 8 thinking that I was going to be late for school when I realized that I'm going to the dentist in an hour.

My phone was going crazy with messages from my friends mainly Aspen asking me 'why aren't you here' 'are you coming to school today' etc.

Before answering anything I get out of bed before going downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Mom what's for breakfast?" I asked.

She turned around.

"Your favorite oatmeal with fruit and buttered toast." she said.

"Cool beans." I said back.

After eating quickly I brushed my teeth for a second time and get in the shower for about 30 minutes before getting out.

The outfit that I chose was my black shirt with white hearts all over it, blue acid washed jeans and my black vans.

"KADES COME ON WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE." my mom yelled.

I run down the stairs trying not fall and head out the door to my mom's car. My mom turns the car on and we head our way to the dentists office.

As my mom is driving I decided that I don't want to worry Aspen so I texted him back.

From: Aspen

Where are you? Why do I not see you in class right now ? Are you okay? Are you sick? Text me back quickly you're making me anxious. I'm sorry if I'm sound clingy.

To: Aspen
From: Kades

Boo you are not being clingy I'm sorry for worrying you I should be at school around lunch I have a dentist appointment in an hour.

To: Kades
From: Aspen

Okay I'll tell everyone so I'll see you later have a good day at the dentist

Instead of replying I quietly laughed and put my phone away before seeing the dentist come into view.

"Please don't make me go." I pleaded.

She got out the car first and had to drag me in because I didn't want to be here. I signed in and waited to be called.

There was only 3 people but I was bored so I was looking at the fishes in the tank before a boy came up to me.

"Hi I'm Anthony but everyone calls me Tony for short." he said.

"Hi Anthony." I said awkwardly.

"I have to get 6 cavities filled but I am not sure if I have to get them all filled today and tomorrow I have a birthday party to go too with my mom, dad, my sister Clarissa and brother Jonah." he told me.

"That sounds fun." I said.

"Yeah it is and I'm so excited for cake." he said.

"Not to be rude by why are you telling me this?" I asked.

Before I got his response it was my turn to visit the dentist and I was not necessarily happy but first I got my teeth cleaned.

As the dentist was cleaning he was talking to me and even though it was hard to understand me I think he understood.

~ 10 minutes later

The cleaning was finally over and I had went in to see the dentist so he could check my teeth hope I don't have any cavities.
