A/N: As promised a long chapter.....

GWYN'S POV

The conversation with Lennan had went well, she understood everything and they agreed to met later in the week to research together.

After the conversation was over, Gwyn had to ask Feyre to send for Cassian, since Feyre was too busy watching Nyx. While waiting for Cassian, Gwyn stayed in the company of Feyre and Nyx. The toddler was already looking so much like his father, the only noticeable feature from his mother were the lightly speckled freckles scattered around his face. His wings were growing well.

Feyre's face would light up every time she talked about her babe. Nesta told Emerie and her what happened during the birth and left Gwyn utterly shocked. Feyre had recovered amazingly.

Feyre was going to invite Gwyn over for dinner, but Cassian arrived right before she asked. Gwyn thanked the High Lady and walked over to Cassian.

The Illyrian came from Windhaven from doing a check up on the females. He was still in his leathers, the red siphons gleaming. His arms were crossed across his chest. His wings tucked in. He looked deadly but the laughter and light in his eyes softened his appearance.

"What happened to Az?" He mused. That's when worry washed over Gwyn again. Once the Shadowsinger mysteriously left, Gwyn hadn't thought about him while talking with Lennan and conversing with Feyre. She felt guilty for not worrying about her friend.

"I-I don't know." She recalled what happened and she must have had a worry look in her eyes because Cassian told her,

"Hey, I'm sure he just wanted to give you privacy after he realized nothing bad would happen." Gwyn knew it was low. Azriel's face before he winnowed away was devastated.

She cleared her throat, "Are you ready to go or do you need to fill Rhysand in about the camps?"

"I'll just tell him tomorrow. Nesta is waiting. for me," Cassian said. With that they walked outside and Cassian paused before touching her. She nodded to him that he could touch her. He gently carried her in the same position Azriel did. During the flight up to the House of Wind, Gwyn couldn't help but compare how different the flight was since it wasn't with Azriel. With Azriel she felt high on his warmth, but with Cassian, she just wanted the flight to be over with. Cassian, the ever so clueless bat, didn't realize her discomfort as he took in the City of Starlight.

After what seemed to be forever, Cassian touched down in the House of Wind. He gently let Gwyn down and looked at a note that was left on the glass coffee table.

"Nesta is running late today," Cassian said. Nesta had told Gwyn that she had not stopped working at the library, but she was looking into working at a bookstore in the Rainbow.

"Did she get the job at the bookstore?"

"Yes," Cassian said proudly. "She starts working there next week, but she still plans on volunteering at the library in between training and work." Nesta had grown a connection with the library, a bigger one than Gwyn had with it. She was proud of how long Nesta had come from the first time they met. "Do you want to hang out while we wait?"

Gwyn raised her brows, "What do you propose we do while we wait?"

-----------

An hour later, Gwyn and Cassian were longing on the sofas in the living room. They had eaten food the House summoned for them and Cassian had showed her how to play cards. After a few round of practice, Gwyn had picked up the games quickly and soon was beating Cassian.
