I Love You

Jaskier's POV:

I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs and an empty bed. Geralt wasn't by my side anymore but the blankets still smelled like him so I just curled back into them. I closed my eyes, fully intent on going back to sleep when I heard the door open slowly and heavy footsteps coming my way. I opened my eyes back up and saw Geralt carrying a tray of food into the room with his hair tied in a low ponytail. He wasn't wearing a shirt so I could see his sculpted and scarred chest from his years as a bodyguard. He was a downright sexy thing to see in the morning, that's for sure.

He set the tray down in front of me and then went to his closet to put a shirt on. He arranged the bacon and eggs to have a smiley face which was absolutely adorable. I enjoyed my breakfast while Geralt got dressed for something. I was more than happy to just stay in bed with him all day, but if he had other plans that was fine.

When I finished my breakfast I noticed that Geralt had lad out an outfit for me and gone back downstairs. I must say, Geralt had good taste in fashion. He picked out a blue dress with white sleeves, some pretty butterfly jewelry, blue heels and a white sunhat which I was excited to wear. Blue was, obviously, one of my favorite colors and he matched it so well with some other colors. I didn't think I could love this man any more than I already did but here we are. I quickly got dressed in the outfit and I practically skipped down the stairs being careful in the heels since I haven't worn any in months. Geralt was putting some containers into a picnic basket while Ciri was watching The Simpsons in the living room. Ciri was wearing a simple yellow skirt and white blouse with her hair in a braid and sunflower pins stuck into the sections like a vine. She looked absolutely adorable. When Geralt noticed me I saw a smile form on his lips and he looked at me like I was the most beautiful person in the world. That was the look I wanted to see on his face for years and I'm finally getting my wish come true. It feels too good to be true, like this is all a dream and I'm still in my coma. Or maybe I'm dead and this is heaven? There's no way someone as amazing as Geralt could look at me that way, I'm just the background character. I'm not the love interest or the fun side character. I'm just barely noticed by everyone so this look he's giving me has to be a dream.

"Jas have you taken your meds yet?" Geralt asked, pulling me out of my screaming thoughts about how this was all a dream. I shook my head and watched him grab a couple of pill bottles before putting a few pills into my hand. He handed me a cup of water and I took the pills easily, though it was a little hard to push back the memory of the roof. Once everything had been situated Geralt gathered us into the car and we were off somewhere. It was a fairly long drive, all the way to a beautiful park area with pretty trees and blossoming flowers. We parked in a mostly empty parking lot and got out, Geralt immediately standing by my side. We decided to go on a little nature walk and enjoy the sights of the park. Ciri took some pictures for her Instagram and I took some as well, including a group photo with us surrounded by sunflowers and tiger lilies. It was a perfect outing in my book.

It was perfect until we ran into an old enemy and a past lover. Yennefer and Colin seemed to be buddy-buddy now, their hands clasped tightly together with smiles on their faces. I was quick to hide behind Geralt when Colin noticed me. Geralt didn't seem too pleased to see Yennefer there. They approached us with confidence and smirks, it sickened me.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Geralt and the whore," Yennefer said, glaring daggers at me as I hid behind Geralt. Colin must've told her what he did and then spun the story. "I see he's got another target to sink his teeth into."

"Yennefer what are you talking about?" Geralt sound exasperated when he asked her. I'm sure the last half of their relationship had been tiring for him. Yennefer just smirked and glanced at Colin before glaring at me again.

"Go on Colin. Tell Geralt here what you told me. How that slimy little worm jumped on you in the bathroom," she said, confirming my suspicions. I still hadn't told Geralt about that. I wasn't ready. It's been years since it happened, I was getting over it.

"And I think we're done here, Yen. Go on about your day and leave us alone," Geralt said, already having none of her shit. He gently picked me up, surprising me, and carried me away from the two before they could continue their lying. Ciri wasn't far behind after kicking Colin in the shin and making a run for it. Once we were a far enough distance away Ciri stopped running before laughing her ass off.

"You guys should've seen his face when I kicked him! He deserved it," She said after calming down. Geralt was still holding me but I found I didn't mind it at all. We decided to have our picnic under a nearby tree and Geralt finally put me down so we could set up. I was a little upset that I wasn't in his arms anymore but I brushed it off to help them set up. Once we were all set up we sat down on the blanket, Ciri and I taking off our heels. How she can run in heels I will never know but I applaud her.

We talked about little things like Ciri's job, Geralt's new boss, my gain in followers after posting a video of me singing. It was calm and peaceful. I was leaned against Geralt while we ate lunch, feeling happier than I have ever been. I was thinking over my life and the events that lead to now. If Geralt hadn't talked to me I'd still be alone. I'd still be hurting myself and breaking down in my kitchen because my mother wasn't there to hold me. I probably wouldn't even be here today if Geralt hadn't talked to me. Geralt is the literal reason I am alive today.

"Hey Geralt?" I asked softy. I had to tell him. He needs to know how much he means to me.

"Yeah Jas?" he asked, looking down at me.

"I love you."
