Barry was brought of his memory by his phone lightning up with a caller's ID. It was Alex."Hey Alex, what's up?" Barry answered.
Normally Alex doesn't really call, since she is busy with work and all. They spend time with each other during hero-ing, help or most of the time lunch breaks. So Barry was surprised on why she called. It must be really important.
"Hey Barry, Nothing much.....How about you?" Alex responded.
"Just relaxing, I guess. Is everything okay?" Barry Asked.
Barry could hear Alex sigh across the line.
"Not really....we need you to come to the Tower...." Alex said slowly.
"I've notified Hal, Cisco and Winn, they should be here in a couple of minutes." Alex added.
"Um, alright.....I'll be right there" Barry responded slightly worried.
With that he ended the call and sped off to National City.
Barry waits with his cowl off in the Tower. Team Arrow, the Legends, Team Batwoman, Team Flash and Team Supergirl are sitting quietly. Alex nervously rings her hands as she looks at the group of aliens, metas and humans in the spacious hideout.
Everyone knows something is definitely wrong. Alex Danvers never, ever, gets nervous. Unless it's with her sister, about her sister, about her family. Surprisingly she stays relatively calm when it comes to the end of the world.
The silence was broken when Barry spoke up.
"Alex? What's wrong?...."
"I...." She started, unable to form what wanted to come out.
"It's....about the fight against that robot...." Alex slowly said.
"How exactly did you.....and Hal..make it out alive...?" Alex asked solemnly.
"Okay, what's with the beating around the bush? We were saved by...."
Hal stopped talking and looked at Barry.
"You were smiling when she came....do you know her?" Hal asked Barry.
"I...."
All eyes were on Barry while he was struggling to respond to Hal's question.
"Barry, what the hell is going on..?" Dig asked.
"Barry, you seem conflicted, like, you know your answer but you don't know if you can say it or if it's true..." Lena spoke softly.
"It's true Barry" Alex said while looking at the ground.
Everyone switched back to Alex. Her face was no longer worried, it was....hopeful and serious.
"Alex..." Barry breathed out.
"That's right Barry, that's why I called everyone here..." Alex responded.
The light in the room glinted off something on her face. It was...tears. Alex Danvers was crying.
"Kara's alive"
