Nora had been introduced to the West Family, and to say that it went smoothly...was an understatement.

Meeting Cecile and Wally had been fun, and seeing the baby had been beautiful. It was meeting Iris..that kind of made things a bit rough.

"Nora—oh my gosh! It's you-! I can't believe it! it's you!" Iris exclaimed as she hugged Nora tightly, to which the young teen or adult—whichever fits—reciprocated happily.

"I'm happy to be here Aunt Iris!" Nora smiled innocently, but she was startled when Iris pulled back.

Confused she asked, "What's wrong?"

"Aunt...?" Iris questioned slowly.

"Well yes, of course! What else would I call you?" Nora tilted her head.

What was she expecting? The kid didn't even look anything like her. Yet...

Iris couldn't..she didn't..understand. Sure, since the creation of Earth Prime, she and Barry have had a rocky relationship. He's talked to her about the whole "We are the Flash" thing and trying to control the team during some missions—and just how that's been affecting them. How that's been affecting him. How that's been affecting everyone. Iris is a good addition to the team, but she can be a bit much sometimes. And after being the Paragon of Love, and Oliver, Barry doubted if he and Iris were truly a good couple. Sure they had their moments, but just getting up to here wasn't..that well written..nor did it really feel that natural. It felt forced in some ways. Barry was reevaluating his love life, and Iris and him did fight because of it. Luckily they had Kara who helped them reel it back in and talk about it. That's how they agreed to have a break from each other for a bit. Till that "break" turned into them living separately.

"Who's your mom?" Iris asked.

"Can't say, timeline rule" Nora replied.

"Is it Linda?" Iris pried. Sure the hair wouldn't match up, but the face shape did.

"I- can't say-" Nora repeated

"Is it Patty?"

"Iris-" Joe cut in.

"Kara?"

"Iris-" Barry warned.

Iris backed off with that. Had she gone too far? Barry's tone had cut through her knowledge craving mindset. Why was he getting so defensive? Was it cause of Kara? Kara.

Iris turned to Barry. "What?"

"She told you she couldn't tell you, so why aren't you accepting that?" Barry asked disappointed.

"What? The hell is your problem?" Iris snapped back. Now why was she upset?

"My problem? Iris, you're the one getting upset."Barry defended.

"Yeah so? Barry I'm your wife! And you're going to defend Kara?"

"I'm not defending Kara. I'm just asking you respect my daughter's wishes!" Barry shot back.

"Your daughter." Iris said through gritted teeth. "Not ours."

Then without a second thought, Iris stormed out the door of the West Household. Barry groaned and muttered. The rest of the family just stood there silently, and Nora..well she felt out of place and guilty.

At a bar somewhere in the city..

Iris West drank her frustration away. She was this close to pulling her ring off. She was pissed. First, Nora wasn't her daughter, then, Barry went against her when she was rightfully asking about Nora's mother—well..maybe she was being a bit too nosy—but still! He's supposed to be on her side! They were married gosh darn it! Argh! It was Barry who wanted a break! It was Barry who defends everyone else! It was Barry! It's always Barry!

Her shot glass was set on the table hard enough that it caught the attention of some drunk dancers.

"Another." Iris asked the bartender.

"Well, that's certainly cause of some anger boss," Iris turned to face the owner of the voice.

He had long blond hair, tanned skin and was buff. Ripped, if you will.

Iris recognized him as the new intern at the Citizen.

"What are you doing here?" She asked him.

"Could ask you the same thing, so why are you here?" He countered.

She couldn't bring herself not to tell him, so she did. About her break with her husband and how he's defending other women instead of her.

"Well that's not right."

"Exactly!" She drank another shot, "Finally someone who understands me!"

Was it the alcohol? Something feels a bit..different. Yet, she didn't mind, or rather, she didn't care. It's good to have someone to agree with for once.

"Stupid if you ask me-" he responded while taking a shot from her fingers. She didn't complain.

"Yeah." Iris, took another shot, "He is."

The conversation continued. It was nice for her. So...she didn't think twice when she took the ring off of her finger.
