June 2021–new timeline; A year after Oliver's death and a couple of months since the recreation of the ASF

A torrent of sky-bluish with fade to yellow lightning flashed through Central City. The speedster moved civilians out of the way as a precarious crane was swinging above them. As she made sure no one was hurt, an orange storm of lightning sped around the crane, using vibrations to break it apart. As that happened, yellow lightning danced around on metal bars and as it seemed—in the air. In a matter of minutes the crane was dismantled, with the Flash and Kid Flash looking around making sure there were no injuries. With a couple of nods, they were off.

The duo sped back to Star Labs and were met with an enthusiastic Cisco Ramon

"Oh yeah Kid-Flash!" Cisco exclaimed. "You really got to teach Barry how to do that" Cisco said as he chewed on his twizzler.

"Yeah, nice going out there Wally. Using some of the energy to create a form of yourself to save the civilians and to help me take apart the threat" Barry told him while patting Wally on the back.

Wally gave everyone a look.

"What?" They asked simultaneously.

"Guys, I did that for the crane....but the civilians, that wasn't me" Wally replied cautiously.

Everyone looked at Barry, as he shook his head in response.

"If it wasn't you or Barry, who is it? Another speedster?" Iris asked them.

"I don't know, for some reason my sense of the speedforce...it-it just frizzled-"

"Yeah, it was"

Everyone looked at Barry dumbstruck.

"Another speedster? Seriously? No offense and all but they just keep popping up!" "Like the 4 bumble-headed Godspeed we've caught!" Cisco yelled.

"Yeah, but this one seems to be on our side. I mean, he or she did save civilians." Caitlin piped up.

"But what if it was just an act? Like to get us to believe him or her?" Ralph pointed out.

"But then why not just meet and talk to us?" Julien asked.

Team Flash was deep in thought until when Joe's phone rang.

"There is a new case, something about super-size burns" Joe told the group.

"Alright, you guys go, we'll do some digging" Cisco said.

"And the Citizen will do some reports" Iris said as she walked out. She had a hunch, which didn't make any sense and was borderline impossible, but she had seen impossible for years, so she couldn't count this out.

As the team went their separate ways, a figure stood above on the building. Listening and watching everything. She rubbed her hands nervously.

"This—is gonna be a doozy" She muttered.

Well, this chapter has been going on for so long! Sorry for the extremely late update, I had my school work and exams to worry about. The good news is my school year is almost over so I'll be putting out new chapters a bit more. Though, they may not be put out quickly because I still have my exams to do. But yeah, a bit of a short—boring chapter but this was put in for some insight for the next few events. Hope you enjoyed!
