Today was kind of a weird day for Blaine. Even though it was his 18th birthday today, he didn't feel like he was celebrating. Maybe it is because nobody remembered it. His parents died in an boat accident 5 years ago, the day he turned 13. He was having a little party at his home while his parents went out sailing. Blaine still remembers every second of when he got the phone call.

''Is this Blaine Anderson? We need to talk to you, something happened to your parents. They had an accident while they were sailing today. They tried to help them with professional help, but it didn't matter. I'm very sorry to say that they died on the way to the hospital. It was too late.'' and when he heard this message, he broke down completely.

He barely talked to anyone, he dropped out of school, he was just in his bedroom crying all day whilst doing all the things his parents would normally do. Though he didn't have a job back then, he  somehow managed to pay for everything, with some help from others. At the time he was 16 he went back to school, and he had a job at a local supermarket.

Now, at his 18th birthday he had no one to celebrate with. But he still had to go to school, he had an important test today. But before he went to school, he had to do something different. He had to go to the graves of his parents. It was a sort of a tradition for him. He bought flowers at the local flowershop, the favorites of his parents, white roses. ''I want some white roses, please.'' he said while watching the clock slowly going further.

He couldn't wait for the point where he would see his parents again. Although, they weren't there in person, they where there in his thoughts, but when weren't they? His mom and dad never did anything wrong, they were very supportive with everything he did. The people he cared about the most were gone, forever. They will never come back, even though he wished for it every year at his birthday.

It was currently 08;17 am, and he didn't have to go to school until 11 am, so he decided to go to his parents' graves before school. Why not, right? He lived only a 10 minute drive away, so he was there in no time. He couldn't go anywhere without putting gel in his hair, so he did that first, he hated the curls he had. He never liked them, and he probably never will like them.

When he was done with his hair he took his bag and he went outside. ''Luckily the sun is shining bright today.'' he says to himself. It always cheers him up when the sun is shining, because for some reason it kind of makes him forget things, but that is only because he is enjoying something, which doesn't happen that often.

He got into his car and he finally drove away, but his mind constantly trailed off into something else, and every time it happened it was something else he was thinking about. At the time he was at the graveyard, so many thoughts have ran through his mind, he totally lost count of what he was thinking exactly. But to him it didn't matter.

What he thought about the most was the fact that he never ever had a girlfriend, or a boyfriend for that matter. Because apart from his parents, nobody knew he liked boys. Not anyone he knew. But as far as it goes, his parents wouldn't tell it to anyone, that is one thing that's true. But even if they were alive, they would never tell it to anyone as long as he wasn't ready.

But will he ever be ready to come out? It doesn't seem like it, but it didn't matter. He already trailed off to the next thought, and it was - again - about his parents. They never gave him his present for his 13th birthday, but after the phonecall he didn't care about it anymore. He didn't have a care in the world about anything, but his feelings.

That was also the point he started to show bits of OCD. He needed to care for himself, and for the house, and at that point he was only cleaning. He wasn't going to school anymore, because everything he did had to be clean and straight and everything. As the time flew by it only got worse, and when he was 17 it was at the point that he never left the house anymore.
