Mending A Broken Heart

You’ve said that you’re sorry

You’ve said we can still be friends

I’m just gonna accept it

Let my heart get on the mend

Because we’ll be ok again

Right now we’re not together

As long as we’re gonna stay friends

That’s better than never

You hurt me too much

For it to ever last

That’s why I was wary of your touch

Scared of it going too fast

Everyone thought I was stupid

For giving you one last chance

So much for love and cupid

It lasted one hour

All I have to say

Is I hope that you’re happy now

Move on and find someone new

Maybe you’ll get me back one day

For now, go and be happy

Then I can move on

I’m not worth your time

I’m really not The One.
