Chapter Thirteen

Six months later

Cheryl was spending time with Veronica when Toni walked into her room. "Hey babe." The redhead says, looking up at the serpent.

Toni looked up from her phone in her hand. "Hey."

Smiling, Cheryl pats the spot beside her on the bed. "Join us? JJ just went to sleep."

Toni shoved her phone into her pocket and glanced over at the bassinet briefly before sitting down.

Cheryl instantly leans into her, her attention going back to Veronica.

"So are you two together now?" Veronica asked.

Cheryl glances up at Toni before looking at Veronica. "Yes."

Toni looked between Cheryl and Veronica.

Shifting, Cheryl pulls Toni's arms around her waist.

Toni rested her head on Cheryl's shoulder.

The redhead couldn't help but smile, leaning her head against her. "Ronnie, we need to go clubbing soon."

"Do you really think you're ready to start clubbing again?" Veronica said.

Shifting, Cheryl nods her head. "Of course, I miss going out."

Veronica looked at her surprised.

"What?" Cheryl asks, frowning slightly.

"Nothing. I just thought you wouldn't want to go out anymore because you've got Jeremiah." Veronica shrugged.

The redhead shifts slightly, pulling Toni's arms tighter around her. "Just because I have a baby doesn't mean I can't still go out and have fun."

"You can still have fun. I just didn't think you'd want to go out when he's so small." Veronica said.

Toni kisses Cheryl's shoulder gently. "She's right babe, he's tiny."

Frowning, Cheryl looks back at her. "But I want to go out and have fun."

"I know but he still needs you and me with him 24/7." Toni said.

"Yeah but if I'm not here Alice is." Cheryl responds, pouting slightly.

Toni looked away.

Shifting, Cheryl turns to fully face her. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Toni said.

"You're lying." Cheryl says softly, cupping her cheek.

"I'm not lying." Toni said.

The redhead frowns and shakes her head. "Something I said, upset you."

"It's nothing." Toni said. "Really."

Sighing, Cheryl turns toward Veronica. "Can we please go clubbing soon?"

"Soon." Veronica said.

Nodding her head, Cheryl looks up just as Jeremiah starts to cry.

Toni got up and lifted him out of the crib.

The baby calms down and releases a soft coo, looking at her.

Toni smiled at him.

A small smile appeared on Jeremiah's lips and he kicked his feet.

"Hi." Toni said.

Cheryl couldn't help but smile as she watched them.

Toni began to rock him gently.

Jeremiah kicks his feet as he stares up at her.
