"You two shouldn't be having sex right now. You already have one kid." Betty tells Toni when the serpent goes down for dinner.
Toni stared at Betty. "We used protection and I did try to talk her out of it."
"You still gave in." Betty responds, making her plate.
"I didn't know what else to do." Toni said.
Shaking her head, Betty rolls her eyes. "You tell her no, leave the room."
"That'll upset her." Toni said.
Betty sighs and sits down at the table to eat.
Toni sat down too.
A few minutes later, Cheryl made her way down to the kitchen with Jeremiah in her arms.
Toni looked up. "I thought you were sleeping?"
"He woke up." Cheryl mumbles tiredly.
"Oh." Toni said. "I can take him and you can sleep."
Nodding her head, Cheryl gently passes her the wide awake baby.
Toni took the boy and smiled at him.
Cheryl headed back upstairs once Toni had the baby.
Jeremiah coos softly and kicks his feet, staring up at her.
Toni smiled. "Hi baby."
Jeremiah kicks his feet again and smiles up at her.
Betty was watching them with a smile.
Toni giggled. "You're a funny baby."
Grunting, the little boy kicks his feet again. His mouth opening to form an 'O' shape.
Toni smiled.
Jeremiah was squirming in her arms, kicking his feet.
"You're cute." Toni said.
The baby pushes his tongue out slightly, making a sucking sound before releasing a soft cry.
"Shh." Toni cooed, rocking him.
"He might be hungry." Betty says softly. "Cheryl made some bottles, they're in the fridge."
Toni got up and moved to the fridge.
Jeremiah was softly crying, turning his head toward her chest.
Toni opened the fridge and reached in and she pulled out one of his bottles.
"Use the warmer." Betty says from the table.
Toni took the bottle to the warmer and put it inside. She turned it on.
The baby continued to softly cry.
"Shh." Toni rocked him.
The warmer beeps, signaling the bottle is ready.
Toni took it out and began feeding Jeremiah.
Tiny hands rest on the hand Toni is holding the bottle with. The baby watching her as he drinks from it.
"Is that good?" Toni asked.
Jeremiah kicks his feet as he continues to drink.
Toni smiled at him.
It wasn't long before the bottle was empty and Jeremiah had been burped. The baby was curled up in Toni's arms, just staring at her as she talked with Betty.
"You're good with him." Betty said. "A natural."
Toni smiles and looks down at her son. "I didn't think I would be."
"He really likes you." Betty said.
Jeremiah was staring at her unblinkingly, a small smile on his lips.
"He looks like her." Toni said.
"He looks like both of you." The blonde responds, watching Toni with the baby.
Toni shook her head. "He doesn't look like me."
"He has your complexion and nose." Betty responds.
"He's got Cheryl's smile and eyes." Toni said.
Betty chuckles. "Don't forget her hair."
Toni nodded.
Jeremiah releases a soft grunt and kicks his feet again.
Toni ran his fingers through his hair.
The baby pokes his tongue out as he stares up at her.
Toni laughed softly.
A soft yawn escapes the little boy.
Toni began rocking him until he fell asleep.
Just then Alice enters the kitchen. "Oh good, you made dinner. I'm sorry I was busy at work." She says, looking toward Betty.
Betty shrugged. "It's fine."
