Cheryl wouldn't look at Toni, not even as they got ready for bed.

Equally Toni ignored Cheryl.

Jeremiah was asleep in the nursery, the baby monitor on Cheryl's bedside table.

Toni left the room once she was dressed and went to sleep in the rocking chair in Jeremiah's room.

Rolling her eyes, Cheryl curls up on their bed. Tears filling her eyes as she stares at the empty spot beside her. She wiped away a tear and buried her face into the pillow.

If Toni hadn't been flirting with or checking out the doctor they would be fine.

Cheryl cried herself to sleep that night.

Morning time

"Cheryl, can I come in?" Toni asks softly from the door to their bathroom.

"No." Cheryl said. "Wait your turn."

Closing her eyes, Toni takes a deep breath. "Baby please."

"You were flirting with her, admit it," Cheryl said.

"I was flirting with her. I'm sorry. I didn't realize it." Toni says softly, leaning her head against the door. "I love you and I shouldn't have done that."

"I knew you were flirting with her." Cheryl said.

Toni swallows thickly. "Please let me in baby."

"No." Cheryl said.

"Please, I want to talk to you without this door between us." Toni begs softly.

"No." Cheryl said.

Closing her eyes, Toni takes a deep breath. "Baby please."

Cheryl opened the door, pushed passed Toni and went into Jeremiah's room.

The serpent was quick to follow her.

Cheryl lifted Jeremiah out of his crib.

"Baby, I'm sorry." Toni breathes out softly.

"Why would you flirt with her?" Cheryl growled.

Toni moves closer and looks her in the eyes. "Because I'm an idiot."

Cheryl moved across to the changing table and lay her son on it.

Jeremiah was sucking on his pacifier, struggling to keep his eyes open. He still wasn't feeling that well.

Cheryl changed Jeremiah's diaper.

Shifting, Jeremiah releases a soft cry.

"Shh." Cheryl cooed.

The baby continues to softly fuss even as she picks him up once his diaper is changed.

Cheryl rocked him gently.

Toni stepped close to them. "Can I help?"

"I'm fine." Cheryl said.

Frowning slightly, Toni looked down. "Babe, please?"

"I'm fine." Cheryl repeated.

Jeremiah releases a soft cry.

"Shh." Cheryl rocked him, carrying him out of his bedroom and towards the kitchen to get some food.

Toni sighs and runs a hand through her hair.

Cheryl pulled a bottle of breast milk from the fridge and put it in the warmer.

The baby was still softly whining.
