Chapter 7:~Stand By You~

Legolas arrived next day to Rivendell, exhausted and full of sadness. And Lord Elrond came walking down the stairs, surprised to see how broken The elven prince was.

"Legolas, penneth? What's happened?,"Elrond asked worriedly.
Legolas didn't answer, instead, tears started streaming down his cheeks.
"Come, mellon nin,"Elrond said calmly. And he lead Legolas into the hall where Galadriel had just arrived.
Aragorn, Arwen and Gimli was also with them.

"Legolas, what's happened, mellon nin?,"Aragorn asked worriedly, "Does your father know you're here?,"
Legolas shook his head, "No, I left Mirkwood without his permission after he...,"
Legolas became silent, like he was afraid to tell them what happened yesterday night when he had returned to Mirkwood.

Galadriel looked sadly at the young elven prince. And she carefully sat down beside him and stroked Legolas back,
"Did he do something to you?,"
Legolas still did not answer.
"Legolas, I promise, we won't tell your father anything of what you tell us,"Elrond reassured The Mirkwood Prince.
"He struck me...,"Legolas said quietly, "He told me I was a failure and that I was not his son...," "Oh, Legolas,"Galadriel said sadly, "We won't let him hurt you again,"
And Elrond sighed, "Seems like I need to tell some sense into The King of Mirkwood. Legolas, have you told your sister about this? Has he struck you before this?,"
Legolas shook his head, "I haven't heard from her in a month. I haven't written to her either. I thought she was busy,"
And Elrond sighed, "I haven't heard from Elladan in a long time either. He said he wouldn't be able to respond to me in a while since he was going to be gone on some sort of mission in The Leclitra's realm in four weeks,"

And Legolas started to cry again.
"It's okey to cry Legolas,"Galadriel explained, "You need to let your sadness out,"
And she stood up, "Stay here with him while Elrond I discuss some things,"
"I'm not leaving the elven Prince side,"Gimli swore. And he sat down beside Legolas,
"It's okey, lad. We're here by your side,"

And suddenly, a guard entered,
"My Lord Elrond, The Queen of The Light Kingdom just arrived on her horse,"
"Let her in,"Galadriel said, "Her brother needs her more than ever right now,"

And Gimli stood up and Elora entered the hall,
"Legolas, I'm sorry I haven't...,"
And Legolas looked up at his sister with tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Oh, muindor,"She said worriedly.
And she went over to Legolas and sat down beside him and hugged her brother tightly.
And she noticed that he had been hit on the cheek,
"Legolas, who did this to you?,"
"Your father did it,"Elrond answered the confused Elora.
And Shadowlight laid down close to Legolas.

"Legolas, I'm sorry I wasn't there for you,"Elora apologised, "If I would have known, I would have written to you earlier,"
And Legolas looked down, still crying.
"Legolas, look at me,"Elora said, "I won't leave your side again. I promise,"
And Galadriel smiled warmly at the siblings.
And Elora took Legolas hand, "I won't let adar hurt you again," And she smiled and started to sing,

Elora hugged her brother tightly, "Whatever happens, I will always be by your side,"
Legolas smiled at his sister, "But, what about adar? He's going to be more angry when he finds out I'm gone. Or if he already has and is on his way here to force me to go back,"
Elora shook her head, "I won't allow him to do that. I will be by your side no matter what he is going to do with you,"

And Lord Elrond and Galadriel showed up,
"You will be staying here for a while Legolas until we know what we shall do about your father. He has no right to treat you like this,"Galadriel explained.
And suddenly, a guard entered,
"My Lord Elrond. Thranduil has arrived. He's here to get his son,"
Legolas quickly grabbed his sister's arm,
"Please, don't let him take me,"
"We won't, Legolas,"Aragorn promised.
And Elora hugged her brother tightly,
"I won't let him anywhere near you, I promise,"

And Elrond went over to Elora, "Take him to a temporary chamber. Galadriel and I will deal with Thranduil,"
"Yes, adar,"Aragorn said.
"Good, Estel,"Elrond said. And Aragorn put his hand on Legolas shoulder,
"Come, mellon nin," And they left the hall.
