Most people from the hospital staff who had time were up in the gallery watching Bailey's surgery. Among them were Faith and Cristina, the two were slowly but surely starting to get closer to one another. Cristina was starting to appreciate Faith's happiness, just like she sort of appreciates Lexie's.
"I have removed the tumor, and placed the catheters. Now I'm going to flood the abdomen with heated chemo. It allows a greater concentration of drugs to be delivered directly to the affected area." Faith watched the surgery with amazement, she loved watching other people work and she couldn't wait until she had enough experience to do anything like this. "And the heat helps target the cancer cells while leaving the normal cells virtually unaffected."
Everyone's eyes looked over at Faith when her pager went off, she looked down at it and read that it was Derek, she turned it off and went back to watching the surgery.
"Are you gonna answer that smiley pants?" Cristina asked the girl.
"No ma'am, it Derek and he doesn't deserve to see my face right now."
Uh oh, what did big brother do?"
"He's an asshole and I don't know how I am related to him, that's what he did."
Cristina's eyes widened when she said that, "I don't know if I have ever heard you swear Faithy."
"I try not to but when I am very angry I swear a lot." Faith quickly replied, but then looked down at her pager again to see that Lexie was paging her. "Oh it's Lexie, bye Cristina! Hope you have a good day!" Faith quickly got up and sent one last glance towards the surgery that was going on, and walked out the door.
The small girl made her way down the hallway and screamed a little when her arm was pulled into a small supply closet. She quickly looked around until she saw Lexie.
"Lexie? What? You paged me to a staircase."
"Yes, but I needed to move around."
"Okay so whats wrong?" Faith asked.
"Oh nothings wrong, I just wanted to talk more about this Jackson thing."
"What Jackson thing?"
"Oh shut up you know what I'm talking about, you know how you are like in lo-" she got cut off by a hand slapping over her mouth.
"Alexandra! I told you and Reed that in confidentiality!"
