"Hospitals across the country have reported substantial savings" Richard Webber and Mark Sloan were standing in front of some of the surgical staff, Faith being a part of them.
"How bad is it today?" Faith turned around to be met with the blue eyes of her brother.
"The chief's implementing a computer model for scheduling our surgeries from now on," Miranda Bailey answered. "something about efficiency and progress."
"And to make sure this was the right decision, I have enlisted one of our own to do a trial run for the last month. Dr. Sloan?
Faith looked at the man in front of her, she remembered him, she remembered having a tiny crush on him when she was little, but wasn't that normal? To have a crush on your big brother's friend?
She could see why she did, he was attractive, very attractive, but she wasn't attracted to him, unlike a certain green-eyed surgical resident.
"I know what you're all thinking. It's a machine. It doesn't know me. It doesn't know what I like. But after using this system for the past month, I gotta say people, I'm a convert. This computer knows me better than I know me."
During Mark's little 'speech' if you could even call it that, Fay saw her brother moving forward slowly. She expected it from him, his little ego was hurt because the chief didn't choose him to try out the new squeaky clean system.
"Chief, this thing has rearranged my schedule for the entire week. I mean haven't we had enough change here already?"
Ouch, Faith couldn't say she wasn't at least the tiniest bit hurt by that.
"Change is good, everyone." Derek turned around to look at Richard, "Embrace it."
"You two need to stop bickering, it's unattractive." Bailey said walking by Derek, Faith snorted in laughter and walked away.
"Well if it isn't Baby Shepherd."
Faith turned around and was met with a pair of blue eyes that she saw so much of when she was younger.
"Hey Mark." she replied to the older man with a smile.
"What? No hug?" she looked up at him and rolled her eyes, but eventually made her way over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck.
