TIMINI'S POV
I glanced at my wrist watch. Again.
If he did not come out of his unnecessarily big mansion anytime from now, we were going to be late. Not that i minded being late, i would miss the whole event if i could. I hated big parties where the food was mostly terrible, fake smiles and forced conversations from people.
Few minutes after, the front gate opened and my friend walked in long strides into the limo spotting a sheepish smile.
'Guy! i would have said you were in there giving birth to a baby if you weren't of that gender.'
Ken bursts into a fit of contagious laughter causing me to join him.
'Guy dont mind me. You know how i am not always on time for everything. I would be different next time.'
Scoffing , 'Like you always say. Until you get to the reception of your wedding late.'
'Let us forget that one first. I don miss you like mad omoo.' He beamed as he grabbed my hand with his and pulled me in for a friendly hug, patting my back twice before pulling away.'
'Same here bro! It feels like it has been ages since we last hung out mehn!'
'It is that crazy bro.' He replied.
Looking at my childhood friend, I recollected the days when we were much younger and spent most of our days together. From how close we were in our primary, secondary school, university days to being brothers now.
When adulthood kicked in, we went from hanging out every single day to seeing just once in months.
'We cant waste any minute here. We are running late.' Ken said hurriedly, and I nodded.
He instructed the driver to take us to our destination and the limo rolled smoothly, taking us away. 'We have alot to catch up to.' I said to Ken and he nodded with a glint in his eyes.
'You start first. You always have interesting things to say.' I said cheerfully.
'See ehn bro, when i tell you apart from going to work everyday and bringing my hot secetary back home every night..'
'Wait wait, dont tell me you are still banging that your "half cast" security, bro.'
'UH-oh wait o. The one i am doing now is a new one oh. I already sacked kathy last month or so.'
Folding my arms, I laughed and then asked, already knowing the answer to it. 'Why did you sack her? What happened?'
'Mama started catching feelings and would always make a scene whenever she saw me talking to women. I mean she was getting really crazy and i just had to.'
'What exactly do you do to these women that make them crazy for you? Come and cut soap for me oh!'
Ken scoffed loudly. 'Look don't even say that because i am supposed to be asking you that question . A whole 'Biggest boy in Lagos state'. Abeg no whine me oh!'
Lauging deeply, i shook my head at him and looked outside the window. 'I am not. Truly, there are girls but most of them want me for the money and mostly the stress they give me is not something I can handle. So its almost like there is nobody at all.'
He sighed beside me, nodding. 'I get you though. It is almost the same with me too.'
My mind drifted the brown innocent eyes that already curropted my mind but then i quickly got rid of it as it came.
Sighing, i turned my head towards Ken and saw him looking out of the limo with a small smile on his lips.
Grinning, i asked. 'What is that dreamy look you have on your face?'
