Timini's POV

I wasn't aware of the number of times i texted the security that was stationed at the entrance of the hall to see if she had arrived yet.

I already sent them a picture of her and instructed them to call me immediately they saw her walk in. I had been counting down the days till today and my insides were burning with the need to see her once again.

As cowardly as it sounds, i couldn't get myself to call her or text from the fear of rejection i'd get from her. I could ju not bear to hear her say no.

I doubted if she was going to show up tonight.

Hearing my name called, i turned towards their direction and was met with three beautiful ladies walking towards me with a big grin on their familiar faces.

"Look at my three beautiful girls!" I called out cheerfully and they all chuckled. "Emem! Tosin! Bebe!" I cheered as i pulled each of them into a warm hug. It had been months since i had seen them and it was at a get-together, we attended the same university and were course-mates.

I briefly scanned them and they were looking stunning as usual. They were dressed sexily in their dinner dresses which made me smile.

"Happy birthday big head! Mehn! this is huge Timini! I can't believe you believe you booked this whole place for just tonight." Emem exclaimed as she took in the surroundings.

Chuckling, i thought of how she could afford to do twice of it without blinking because she worked in one of the top oil companies in Nigeria and she was just only trying to be humble.

"Please tell us where you all are getting this money because ahn ahn! All these billionaires ehn! Ha" Lara exclaimed as she also studied the surroundings with wide eyes.

I mean i could not exactly blame them. It was beautiful tonight.

Lagos Oriental Hotel is a 5-star in Sandfill within the Lagos Island and It is also a multi purpose hotel. This hall was enormous and thinking of the millions that left my pocket to book it tonight made me almost cringe. The dark wood decor theme was great too. It was giving old money and luxury. It was indeed a sight to see.

"Look at you who is a millionaire and is happily married to a billionaire. Do not act all surprised with this alright?"
I replied Lara.

"Happy birthday sweet cakes! You're looking extremely good in that tuxedo damn sir!" Bebe cheered while Tosin and Emem nodded in agreement.

"Wow i guess i know now why i have been getting a lot of stares from ladies tonight." I teased and they all laughed.

"As if. Half of the girls in lagos are dying to smash you and you are acting like you don't know." Lara eyed me playfully making us all laugh.

"Well, i barely pay attention so i do not know really." I shrugged, making her shake her head at me.

"There are a-lot of people here tonight. Its crazy." Tosin said and i nodded in agreement.

There were about a few hundreds of people around and it made me nervous a bit. I was never one to throw this big of a party. If not that i was aiming to impress a special someone.

I really hoped i got to see her tonight.

My eyes fell on Bebe and i fought the urge to pinch her very round cheeks just like i use to do back in the days. She was looking beautiful as ever and i suddenly remembered i use to have a little crush on her.

"Thank you so much, really." I said warmly. "Thank you for taking your time to come celebrate with me. I really appreciate it."

"Ugh what's with all the formality! They did not born you well to not invite us na we'll just break your head." Emem joked and i shook my head playfully as she has always been the notorious one amongst them.
