Chapter 6: The Changing Kiss

"Woah kissed, DARWIN? Have you gone INSANE? Of course that's not true." I said looking intensely into Kate's eyes. "Who would start a rumor like that?" I ask a bit flustered, Kate's green eyes dimmed realizing I was still a sad, lonely single lady.

"Ok class." Our teacher boomed over the loud classroom "Please take out a pencil or pen we are about to take a pop quiz." He says energetically, clearly he had no respect for my complicated problems. The class groaned as the teacher passed out papers  without a care.

How am I supposed to concentrate on the test when I can't even grasp the thought that anyone would believe that I, Marissa Stone, would ever kiss someone as cocky as that man hoe Darwin Hood. I just don't get it, why me this has never happened before I've never been in so much drama in my life.

I manage to get through the test, I'm pretty sure I failed.

I walked into 3rd period, I needed to have a little talk with Sydney. I'm not a idiot who else would want to spread that kind of rumor about me. After what happened yesterday I'm sure she's not going to let something like that slide.

I walked up to her and said "Why did you start that rumor about me?!"

She looked puzzled and said "What? What are you talking about?" As she fixed her perfect nails trying to pretend she didn't care about what I had to say. 

"You know what I'm talking about, you started that horrible rumor saying that I kissed Darwin, How could you? I..."

Before I could finish I suddenly felt two strong arms wrap around me, I jumped because I was shocked but soon realized it was him, Darwin. 

"Hey baby! I missed you" he says snuggling me. 

Ugh!!

He's just making things worse, people will definitely think we're dating if they saw thus display.

"What are you doing? -_-" I asked annoyed. 

"Just marking my territory." He says still rubbing his skin into mine, he was a creep. 

I started pushing and shoving him to get off of me but he wouldn't budge.

"Stop! It's bad enough Sydney started that rumor saying we kissed now people will start think something else!" I whined. 

"What?! I never started that rumor!" Sydney protested.

"Really so your telling me your not the one who told everyone that?" I say again. 

"Duh that's exactly what I just said!" Sydney says more aggressively. 

"Then who did?" I say with a attitude.

"I did." Darwin says extremely to plainly for this tense situation!

"O.O WHAT!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" I ask not sure whether to be pissed or shocked. He simply shrugs his shoulders back.

Smug bastered.

I couldn't believe this jerk! He thinks he can just get any girl! The nerve of him, now I bet everyone thinks I'm some sort of slut to kiss a guy I'm not dating!

"Come with me." I try to say without punching him in his cocky face.

I grab his arm and drag him out of class, we have less then 3 minutes to talk before the bell rings I hope I can make 1 minute without slapping the crap out of him. We get outside the classroom and I fold my arms over my chest.

"Now tell me, why did you tell everyone we kissed?" I tried to say as calmly as possible but he just smiles at me and tilts his head to the side. I see what he's doing trying to be all cute. Well guess what buddy, that trick won't work on me!

"Because we did kiss, remember?" He says playfully. 

"Uh No! No I don't recall this." I say completely shocked by his answer.

"In the hallway by the stairs, you fell on me and our lips touched. You basically threw yourself at me." He explains. 

"WHAT?!! I didn't throw myself at you!!! And that wasn't even close to a kiss I accidentally bumped into you and we fell that's it!!" I say trying to get it into his head that that was not a kiss! I calm down a bit and say "Please darwin you have to find a way to make this rumor go away."

He looks down and breathes out a sigh "Ok I think I have a way to fix this."

"REALLY?!" I smile. "How?"

He tilts his head back up and smiles his charming smile. He looks back up at me and steps closer. I could feel and smell his minty breath and the warmth of his body. 

"Um darw..."

Before I could finish he puts his finger under my chin and rubs his thumb against my lips. My breath hitchs, he tilts my head up so that I'm staring at him in his eyes. Oh those eyes, the grey ones that would melt any girl that glanced at them. I tried to resist I really really did but I couldn't help it and I swooned over them.

"We make our rumor true." He whispers being the answer to my problem. 

Before I know it his lips are softly pressed against mine. He puts his free arm around my waist and moves his other hand to my neck. He softly bites my bottom lip and it sends chills down my spine.

I began to get really hot. I couldn't do anything but stand there and enjoy the moment no matter how much I wanted to leave. He never tried to stick his tongue in my mouth or move his hand down to my butt so I took it as him respecting my boundary.

He let go of my lips but kept his hands on my body. I stared at him in his eyes, my heart started to pound and i started to sweat because of how much I was blushing. 

He was just staring at me in a daze, I could feel his minty breath reach my nostrils and his cheeks turn a deeper shade of red. 

The bell rang and we both jumped. We walked into class both blushing like crazy. I tried to rush to my seat and covered my face with my hair and darwin covered his with his hand.
