Chapter 13: Last Friday night

I kept replaying what happened Friday over and over again in my head. Jackson wanted to take me on a date, was it a dream? I was walking down the school hallway thinking when I hear Darwin yell

"Marissa my love!!"

Before I can look up he smashes me into a unescapable hug.

"Thanks again for saving me Friday with a kiss, it was like sleeping beauty. Get it cause I'm beautiful and you woke me up with a kiss." He says arrogantly.

"Ugh your so coincident, what the hell was I thinking I knew I should have let you drown." I say irritated

"Aw don't be so modest, let me reward you with a kiss." He says as he leans in and makes his move but before he can I feel somebody yank me aside them. I see them put their hand on Darwin's lips to stop him in mid air.

"Keep your lips off my girlfriend."

Girlfriend? I was nobody's girlfriend! The only person close to me being their girlfriend was Jackson because he asked me out. I look up to see it was the one and only Jackson!

"What? I-I didn't know about this? When did this happen?" Darwin asked and stole the words right out of my mouth.

"It's none of you're business, Ok." Jackson says arm still around my shoulder a little too close to my boob.

Darwin stood there wide eyed and opened mouth to the fact that I was serious about being with Jackson and not him, even though he wanted me. But he soon gathered himself and said

"Alright, Alright."

Jackson and I walked to my first period class In silence and he said

"I hope it was ok of me to call you my girlfriend."

"Yea of course, I mean I am aren't I? I wouldn't mind." I said hoping he wouldn't change his mind. 

He looks down at me and realized that his hand was extremely to close to my boob. He slowly moved it from there to my waist as if nothing happened.

The bell rang indicating we had 5 minutes left to make it to class on time.

"Well you should be going to your class, I don't want you to be late." I say hugging him, I can't believe we were dating! This was real.

"Ok." He says and kisses me on my cheek.

He starts to walk away and I walk into my class. Everyone is starring at me but honestly who cares.

"Can you believe it." A girl says in a snobby tone. 

"I know she went from one guy to another what a slut." Another one says.

Great here we go again with the rumors. Maybe Jackson and I should keep our relationship a secret.

I walk to my seat next to Kate she looks at me with a darker color in her eyes, it was like she was happy to see me but something was wrong.

"Heyy, I saw you and Jackson outside and he kissed you on your cheek. Get it girl what was that about!?" She says with a slite pep in her tone. Something was up with her, her cherry red blonde hair was limp and she seemed distracted.

"Dude guess what! Me and Jackson are dating!!" I say intertwining our fingers as we jump up and down, squealing like little girls. 

"Omg seriously!? Finally Marissa has a boyfrienddd." She sings I laugh but say "Shut up!" 

She just kind of chuckles and I get a little worried "Hey whats wrong? Are you ok?" I ask trying to get it out of her.

"Oh, yeah totally." She says itching her ear, I know for a fact that when she itches her ear shes lieing.

"K, seriously whats going on?" I ask being more persistent.

"Wellll, you remember that party Friday?" She starts.

Sydney Pov.

I'm sitting in my first period class when Mark Johnson calls me over to talk to him. His party was awesome but I did have some work to do with this whole Marissa situation. Its all in full swing, in fact I'm throwing a party in 2 weeks its all apart of the plan as long as no-one interferes I'll be fine.

"Oh Hey Mark" I say extremely sweetly.

"You know your runner up for homecoming queen, which is great because next is prom and you'll win that for sure with homecoming votes." He says more flirty then information wise

"That's great news!" I say enthusiastically when I hear two girls walk past us talking. I over hear them saying

"Have you seen Edward today? He looked so hot." The brunette said

"Ya, well I got my eye on Darwin Hood he's so cute." The blonde had the odasity to say

Ugh!!

HONESTLY whats up with all these skanks today thinking they have a chance with the hottest guy!!!!

"So I have these tickets for the all star game tonight if you wanted to come." Mark says completely ignoring the fact that I'm thinking!

I quickly grab the tickets and rip them to shreds "What makes you think I would ever go out with a shaved poodle like you?!!" I say irritated

I'm the hottest girl in school so it makes sense for me to have the hottest guy, why is that so hard to understand?!

Marissa pov

Kate told me all about her adventure with the party and it almost brought me to tears. I couldn't believe it, I was in my 4th period class when the bell rung. Jackson and I were walking to my 5th period class when suddenly Darwin comes behind us. "Hey lovers, what's up?" He says

I roll my eyes and Jackson says

"What do you want Darwin?"

"What I can't hang out with my brother and his girlfriend?" Darwin says cringing at the words "I mean Marissa,  you did make me miss the first party of the year, I think you owe me at least your friendship" he says sympathetically. 

I started to feel a little bad because honestly he was right. He did miss the party and I guess I felt bad after hearing Kate's story. Maybe if I throw a party she could have a nice due over.

"Maybe I should throw a party?" I say

"What?" Jackson says

"Yeah, I mean he's right He didn't get to go and it would show people that I'm not some hoe and they can get to know me. It could give a lot of people a good time." I say full of hope.

"Well yeah but..." Jackson starts. 

"THAT'S A GREAT IDEA!" Darwin yells.

"I could help you, I'm a party king." He suggest.

"That's true." I say a little more excited about the plan.

"Wait are you actually serious about this." Jackson asks concerned

"Of course, it would be fun." I say cheerfully nudging my shoulders.

"Then its settled we'll have the party in 2 weeks at my place, cool?" Darwin says

"Yeah." I say pulling out a notebook to write down all the details we will need for the party.

We walk down the hallway as Darwin explains what kind of snacks and decoration we would need.

This is going to be great!
