Chapter 22- Disasters

The next few weeks she was stable. Today was her last night and was going home the next afternoon after her last check up. Would I miss her? No,if I missed my patients. I wouldn't be as good of a doctor I am.

"Doctor?" The nurse sighed with a worried tone
"What is it Maurice"
"It's A- I mean Emma"
"Don't tell me she is back there"
"She is"
"Ugh...No"
"We need help,she is about to die"
"Be there as quick as I can"

Her IV is in. Her blood is not high or low pressure. Her heart is fine. Air in lungs. What is missing?
The machine started to ring... She's gone...

"Call her parents please"
"But it's-"
"Call her- I'll do it"
The phone rang rapidly. Making it louder in the empty,deadly hospital. Why is no-one answering? Are they asleep? The phone stopped ringing. The cord... it had been cut
