Loki was awakened by Stark trembling, he looked at the hand welded clock on a nearby wall, it hadn't been even 10 minutes since he sat down.
He was tempted to leave, it would be easy, just teleport to the library where he made his home, but he was curious by nature-so he pretended to sleep.
But he watched with horror, as the minutes wore on, the terror on her face made his heart clench.
It was a face similar to his own when he woke from nightmares of Thanos.
So he stood up, sat on her chest, and put his paw on her nose.
He eased the claws out enough that it would wake her up, but not seriously injure her.
'She seems to be in so much pain already...why?'.
Time appeared before him, jarring him out of his thoughts.
"That won't work, she needs to wake up on her own. Loki, you should move".
Loki's huffs, leave it to the stones to say something.
Why did it sound like that charlatan that left him to fall?
He moved to the arm of the couch, looking directly at Stark.
She whipped her head side to side, her breathing frantic.
She tensed and trembled, her face showing her panic.
Loki watched with sorrow as she continued to suffer for another ten minutes before she jolted in her sleep.
She's saying something, but Loki can't hear it.
"No,no,no..." she says, starting to thrash.
And Loki jumps in surprise as Stark screams, shooting up like a rocket and off the couch.
She lays on the floor, her palms and forehead pressed against.
Loki almost takes a step back from the amount of heat that Stark is radiating, but steps forward when she starts to mumble something.
Stark's breathing is getting back to normal, and she's reaching her hand out in Loki's direction.
Loki jumps off the couch and runs against Stark's hand, thinking she must want some comfort.
"I'm sorry Loki", he froze at his name, "I should have left the lab open so you could've escaped without giving up your cover".
She rolled to her back, staring at the ceiling, fatigue dripping in her voice,
"You shouldn't have to deal with my shit. It won't happen like this again", she turned her head to face Loki, who was still frozen.
"Did I hurt you?"
Loki looked into the green eyes, even though they were not Starks, he could see so much pain in them.
He had seen it during the battle of New York, it had kept him grounded enough against mind control-he was ordered to kill Stark on sight.
He fought it enough to let Stark get his suit cuffs, but it had slipped, but Hulk helped.
He took slow steps towards Stark, then let the shift fall.
He sat on his knees a foot away from her, who smiled softly.
"It's good to see you Loki", she said quietly, slowly sitting up.
They stood at the same time, "Still freakishly tall I take it?", amusement trying to hide the exhaustion in her tone.
Loki shakes his head, "It's good to see you Stark, Lady Romanoff is not pleasant company", he says dryly.
Tony chuckles slightly, "No, she's not. Which was why Jarvis locked the lab up..." she trails off, looking him straight into his face.
"I'm sorry you had to see that, and you're free to leave now if you want. You can pick any room in the tower, or the library on the 58th floor".
Tony rambled, trying to help Loki the best way she knew how, by giving him space.
Loki was touched that she was trying to help him, but Loki needed company.
"Actually, Stark," he said quietly, cutting off her ramblings.
"If I could, may I stay here while you work? I can leave if you want me to".
The way Tony's eyes lit up, made Loki want to stab those who had seemingly rejected her companionship-her eyes mirrored his own in more ways than one it would seem.
Time appeared, "May I join you two? It sounds like fun".
Tony smiled a true genuine smile, "Yes of course You two can stay. I need to work on Vis because apparently,"
she walked closer to the station his parts were on,
"Wanda bitch went absolutely mad with grief. So we're going to fix that".
She starts snapping and clapping, the ministers in the station light up and scans start coming in.
"Damn you Fury! Taking my baby apart, not even telling me you had him...I'm gonna kill him..." she said in a tired voice.
Loki watched intently as she spent the next two days straight putting Vision back together piece by piece.
She is currently hunched over the station, soldering iron in hand, fixing his head.
There are grease marks on her face, her waist length hair is braided back, and bags under her eyes.
"Alright," she said, popping her back and setting the tool aside.
"time for the power source".
She goes to another work bench, shifts through a drawer, and comes back with a familiar circle.
"That looks like an arc reactor", Time says, intrigued.
"Yup", she says, popping the 'p'.
"Except this one is almost as powerful as the Mind stone".
She hovers over Vision, and slides the reactor in with a loud click.
His body lite up, and Tony heard Vision inhale.
"Vis? Is that you?" Friday asked with hope.
"Friday?"
He asked, opening his eyes, he shot up and almost in a panic,
"What happened?! Where's Thanos!!?"
He lept off the station and floated around the room, looking for the ugly grape.
Jarvis chuckled at his...sons antics.
"It's alright young one, Thanos is dead".
Vision relaxes at that, but looks at the ceiling in shock.
"Jarvis?" he whispers painfully, "How-".
Tony cut out of their conversation, knowing that Friday and Jarvis will explain everything and more to him.
She looks to Loki and the Time stone, "This is where the not so fun part comes in.." she says with a far of look.
Loki is confused as to why she would say that, but his thoughts are interrupted.
"I think I can help with that", Mind said.
I love the idea of Loki and Tony being good friends, and Time is acting a bit sis, don't you think? Vis is back! But what is Minds plan?
