Legends Never Die

Chapter 16

Bruce talked with Jarvis about Tony and everything he had missed, he couldn't believe they were both alive. 

He sat in the lab as the other three crowded Vision with questions, Sam and Nat just stood to the side.

They asked if Tony was acting normal or if anything was different, which ticked Vision off. 

Bruce spent time with Dum*E and U, trying not to pummel Rodgers. 

The bots seemed to have missed him. 

After about three hours, Tony's new voice comes through the intercom. 

"Alright rugrats, you can come back. But if you have traumatized any of my other kids, I will find out..you alright down there Vis?"

Her voice held a lightness of teasing, but they knew that he-she was serious. 

Vision smiled, "A little irritated, but I'm fine Mom". 

Bruce smiles softly at their interaction, and leaves the lab to go back to the common floor. 

Bruce led the progression to the living area, taking in the scene before them. 

The cloak of Levitation had found Tony, and placed itself on her shoulders. 

Tony was holding Peter bridal style with his arms around her neck while she sat in the air. 

She looked so much better than when he last saw her, or even when Tony was a boy.

 Tony smiled slightly at Bruce, but her gaze shifted to the other two and cooled.

 Clint slowly walked away from the group and sat across from Loki at the table-who was watching the tension. 

They sat in silence as Peter suggests they watch a movie to calm themselves down from the excitement. 

Clint watched as Bucky and Sam stood up to go train in one of the gyms. 

Tony smiled at them, "Don't go too hard, Star Spangled, we are going to have a game night". 

Sam smirked, "As long as it's not monopoly, we should be fine". 

Tony rolls her eyes, "What about you, James, would you like to play tonight?". 

Bucky looks thoughtful for a second, "Maybe, what would we play? I don't Winter coming out and be a problem..". 

Tony looks at him with seriousness and a fond look, "Neither you or Winter will ever be a problem". 

Bucky nodded, and walked out with Sam to the gym. 

Clint tilted his head, along with Nat...he looked at her with a raised eyebrow. 

Steve had, under Jarvis's threats, explained the Siberia comment when he was being evasive. 

Jarvis even showed them the suit video of what had happened. 

The Time stone had shifted through the walls and cornered Steve, threatening him with some dimension crap..and a Dormmau? 

Clint had been trying not to throw up, Nat had not been successful. 

He couldn't get Bruce's attention, but it wouldn't surprise him if he already knew. 

He was confused, he didn't understand everything that had happened in Tony's life, he always figured it was a party free of troubles....but there were some things that Jarvis didn't explain the meaning of what he said, like his abandonment issues. 

Clint watched as Bucky stopped at the elevator and walked back to Tony to tap her shoulder affectionately with his metal hand.

 She squeezed his hand, but it looked like she didn't even touch him. 

While this scene is genuinely heartwarming, due to previous revelations, is confusing to say the least.

 Considering Tony won't come five feet from Steve and every now and again will look at him, then tap her chest, where a blue light shone through. 

Clint and Loki sat in comfortable silence, but Clint kept seeing a soft look from Loki whenever Tony smiled or laughed with Peter. 

They had decided to watch Madagascar 3, a group of animals trying to get back home. 

Clint finally asked what was on his mind, "What is Tony to you, Loki?" 

He turned to face the god. 

"I may not care for Stark in the least, but at the same time I don't want something else to happen to hi-her." he looks away,

 "God knows we've put her through enough..besides, I don't want to have to sic the other sorcerer on you", referring to Strange, knowing how much Wanda hated Stark.

 Loki smiled, "I think you mean sorcerers, Mr. Barton". 

Clint's face scrunched in confusion and looked back to Tony.

 Wanda's here? He didn't even see her, and she was laughing with Tony over the movie.

 "But I have no intentions on harming her. She needs to be protected", Loki's eyes suddenly glassy..and a tear rolled down.

 He wiped it carefully, "I believe you call this 'Sibling Love'?".

 Clint nodded knowingly, that's how he and Nat worked it out. 

"I never want to see her hurt again, and I really want to murder Rodgers more than anything", a fierce look flitted across his face. 

"You don't need to worry about it, Mr. Barton, me and Tony are too much alike in our pain to be romantic", a mischievous look crossed his face. 

"I would be more concerned about Stephen Strange, however".

 Tony may have been holding Peter, but Stephen was holding onto Tony, who was still wrapped in the cloak-dubbed Levi by Peter. 

 As the movie was ending, Tony got up and walked to the kitchen, talking about making dinner. 

And almost everyone jumped up in terror. 

The sudden movement of so many people, some of whom she doesn't trust, startled her. 

The stones appear as a wall between her and the others, but not before Levi wrapped her in a cocoon-to try and calm her. 

Jarvis brought out the guns from the walls at Tony's sudden skyrocketed heart rate towards the others. 

He trains the guns on everyone except Loki, Wanda, Vision, Stephen-who all knew that she could cook very well. 

Tony's breathing grew ragged and shallow, watching the standing team with fear.

 Stephen slowly walked to Tony, and the stones released the shield. 

She glanced from person to person frantically, but Stephen picked her up gently, Levi landing on his own shoulders. 

He held her bridal style as they floated to the ceiling. 

Stephen's hair brushed against the ceiling wall, as he held her close in his arms. 

She calmed down, holding him around his chest, breathing into his robes. 

She looked down at the still standing, stunned group below and scowled, attempting to lighten the mood. 

It's only then, that Steve, Clint, Bruce, Nat and Peter realize that Tony was hurting more than they ever could have thought.

Alright, so we have Clint starting to realize somethings changed or he never really knew Tony.....and were getting Ironstrange at the same time...I'm happy.
