"What did you do to Tony?" a thick, curious voice said behind her.
She turned to see Wanda and Peter standing behind her, looking confused at Tony's exit.
"She doesn't trust me, so I was trying to regain some of that lost trust", Nat said simply.
Peter nodded, putting his dish in the sink and started to leave, "Peter, wait" Nat said.
He turned with a tilt of his head, "Have you noticed anything strange about Tony's behavior?", she asks, hoping to plant something that would yield answers eventually.
A crease flickered across both of their faces as they thought, "Nothing that pops out right now, why do you ask?" Wanda asks, while Peter is in deep thought.
"Just wondering, I thought I saw something odd".
"You're talking about her flinches, aren't you", he asked quietly, looking down.
Nat nodded, not sure how else to proceed.
Wanda left to find Tony, running down the halls to try and locate her.
Wanda found her pressing her forehead against the glass window.
'The voices...' She stepped softly, but enough that Tony could hear her.
Tony reached her left arm behind her, a gesture for her to hold it.
Wanda hesitated, but held on to it tight.
Tony released a shaky breath, sinking to her knees.
Wanda sat with Tony, slowly holding her by the shoulders.
Tony leaned into Wanda's touch, her breathing stabilizing.
They stood, and Wanda gave Tony a hug, but Tony returned a ghost touch to the shoulders.
Wanda went to speak with some of the others, but Tony went to the lab.
She walked in, patting Dum*E and U.
"Jarvis, can you please ask Miss Potts for a meeting tomorrow, get Rhodney to come to".
Jarvis made a thoughtful sound that should concern Tony, but it didn't.
"Do you want to meet them in your office, Miss? Seems appropriate".
Tony thought for a second, "What would give them more of a heart attack? Me walking in or me being there first?"
Jarvis chuckled, a noise that was very welcoming,"You should walk in Miss, Col. Rhodes will faint for sure".
Then her eyes caught it, the cradle.
Tucked away in the far corner of her lab, layers of dust on it.
Her breathing quickened, Jarvis and Friday's voices sounded underwater.
"Miss? Tony!"
"Boss! Boss, can you hear me?"
She could hear metal screeching, Socovia falling, bullets, a body thumping on the helicarrier.
She swayed and fell, but she was caught.
Jarvis tried to help Tony out of her panic attack, so he alerted Dr.Strange and Peter.
Stephen caught Tony before she fainted, and handed her to Peter.
Everyone else had run down to the lab upon hearing Jarvis's panic over the intercom.
"Why was she having a panic attack...Rodgers I swear to-"
"I didn't do anything, she's barely looked at me since I got here".
"Can you blame her?" Loki spat, arms crossed and scowling at the old super soldier.
Bruce watched as Peter took Tony over to the couch, and Steve just went quiet as he thought about what Loki said.
That's when it caught his eye.
The cradle that created Vision, that Ultron had planned on using, it was still in Tony's lab.
"We need to get rid of that thing", he said loudly.
The others followed his line of sight, and most stilled-Bucky and Peter were confused on what it meant.
Bruce started to walk towards it, until a small voice stopped him.
"No, please, you can't", Bruce looked over to the couch and Tony was speaking, but it didn't sound like the voice she had.
It sounded similar, but this voice was more timid, scared and sad.
Suspecting that this wasn't Tony speaking, Loki crouched on one knee in front of her.
"We need to get rid of it, to keep you safe", it wasn't true, but Loki was hoping she would explain why she needed it.
Her breathing grew shallow, "No, you don't understand! I-I can bring him back! I need it here for when the time comes! I can-"
She groaned, putting her hand on her head.
Tony was quiet for a moment before opening her eyes.
She looked around, then peered behind Bruce to see the cradle.
She sighed deeply, "I freaked out, didn't I?" she stood , stretching like a cat.
"Well, I have an idea, and a proposal for you, Miss Maximoff".
No one mentioned how normal her voice sounded, Tony normal compared to whoever had spoken before.
"I can bring him back", they froze at the familiar words, but Tony walked closer to the cradle.
"I can bring Pietro back".
Tony stood next to it, not quite touching it.
She motioned to Clint to come over, and Mind and Soul came with him.
"Clint, I need a mental image from you since you were the last one to see him"
Mind touched his forehead, "Preferably before the bullets, Clint".
She placed Soul on the cradle.
A blinding yellow light flooded the room, blasting everyone back a couple steps.
Tony let out a victory cry, although she was shaking really bad.
Wanda stepped closer and Tony backed away.
She opened the cradle, and there was her brother, curled up sleeping.
Wanda looked to Tony, and she had no words.
She hugged Tony and cried into her shoulder, thanking her profusely.
Steve stood behind everyone, and Power floated up next to him.
"You are confused, aren't you?", she asks softly, her russian thick.
He nodded, "If Tony can do that, why doesn't she do it to turn himself back?".
Power hummed quietly, "Because she can't, his soul is so intertwined with the young woman, if he were to do that, she would die".
Steve looks at Power, then to Tony with a crease on his forehead.
"I didn't know Tony cared so much", he said softly.
Power scoffed, "He's always cared, Rodgers, you were just too blind to see it".
About time someone told him off, but now Steve is in the loop-cause everyone wants to make things right..eventually. Wanda and Tony are no longer allies, I would almost consider them friends. But who was the voice? I don't think she was talking about Pietro... And Pepper and Rhodney are going to show up..
