Chapter 29

It took four hours to calm Harley down, and even after that, he was very wary of team Cap. 

But most of all Nat, James and Steve. 

It took Tony cuddling with Steve next to him for Harley to understand the amount of healing that Tony went through. 

It was after about a week when Peter brought up a previous conversation.

 He looked up from his cereal, "Mama! We never went to Wakanda! We have to do that!" 

Tony shrugged, "We could go now, since I have my own bleecker street magician..." she said loud enough for Stephen to hear.

 "Sounds like a wonderful idea, T'challa probably will have a few ideas for you to get out and about". 

He said with a smile and a kiss to her nose. 

"Yes! Who wants to go to Wakanda!!!???" Peter yells into the intercom.

 Everyone except Wanda and Pietro show, claiming to want a quiet tower for once. 

Nothing is ever quiet around that boy, but okay. 

Stephen opens a portal into Shuri's lab, and Tony and Peter walk out first. 

She felt danger before she saw it, activating the stones as a shield for Peter and the others coming in. 

"What are you doing in my lab, Spider Boy?" 

Tony pursues her lips, looks at Peter, "We never did talk about your revealing by the way young man...I'll have Jarvis remind me".

 Shuri slightly perks up at the mention of the infamous A.I, but Peter whines as Stephen walks in.

 "Dad... Mom's mad at me..." he pouts slightly. 

 Stephen chuckles, watching others roam out of the lab to find old friends.

 "Doesn't take much to rile up a Stark, Peter, especially Tony". 

Shuri's eyes widened and she stared. 

Mind and Soul come off her wrist,"I completely agree, Tony has had a couple of screaming matches at walks during her year in recovery." Mind remarked. 

"Traitor" Tony mumbles, letting Shuri scan her brain waves with a scanner. 

"Well it's true Tony, you can have quite a temper", Soul sassed.

 Shuri looked into Tony's eyes, seeing the brown with gold flecks that hid his intelligence and pain.

 She twists a bead on her bracelet," BROTHER!!" She shrieked.

 "What is it Shuri? Another science discovery?" He asked with sass.

 "Yes!!" She yelled, "Tony Stark is alive!!" 

 There was dead silence on the other end, and suddenly T'challa ran through the doorway. 

"Hey Kitty Cat, how's the kingdom?" She asked with a smile. 

T'challa stares into her eyes, then sees the arc reactor glow. 

He remembers Shuri screaming at him about Stark's genius at his first conference after he was rescued.

 She had done a mental and physical scan on him, she was very concerned about the billionaire, because he had a total 180* swing in personality.

 He looks to Shuri, knowing she already scanned her brain to see if is indeed Stark.

 She nods and hand him the scanner, with Tony waiting patiently with just Peter and Stephen with her. 

The scan shows a 98.99% to the Great Tony Stark, but the .99% belonged to, "Quincy Rose Ketchum?"

 He looked up to Stark, "Who was she?". 

The stones started to drift around the room. 

"Hey! You lot! Behave...". Tony signed,

 "I would not be here if it were not for her... the stones needed a body to put me in, and she was the only one 'worthy' as they put it".

 Peter and Shuri ran off into another lab with the scanner, leaving the adults to talk about whatever.

 "Alright! Tell me everything!!" She screamed as she bounced excitedly. 

Peter smiled at his friend, told him what he knew, including the wedding.

 After Shuri's freakout about Loki being the crazy uncle, she started to smirk.

 " I don't know about you, but I want to know who Quinn was before. She what she was like" she walks towards a holo screen,

 "Because the .99% only counts for her body and past memories". 

She started typing as Peter looked over her shoulder.

 "Quincy Rose Ketchum..... Oh God". 

His eyes widen as the first result filled the screen. 

It was a young woman, about 17, with a bruise on her neck, bloodied nose and black eye sitting with a paramedic in the back of an ambulance.

 Peter walked closer to the hologram, side stepping Shuri. 

He touched the screen that held his mother's broken picture, "What the fuck?!" he whispered. 

Shuri's hand shifted through the data, her voice sounded like she was underwater. 

Police report, attempted violence against a minor. 

But Peter head snapped to attention at what she said last.

 "She did what?" He said, astonished. 

"I said she killed the guy that tried to rape her. And the police almost arrested her for murderer until they saw the footage, and examined her wounds."

 Peter's hand tightened and clenched.

 He shifted through the report to the video file. 

"Peter, I don't think-" 

he presses play, and watches with tears streaming down his face.

 Glancing to the corner of the screen, one year after the blip. 

Quinn was almost to her apartment, she had just got off work and was trying to get home. 

A hand emerged from the alley, grabbing her waist and pinned her against a wall.

 The man pushed against her, trying to take off her clothes while holding her wrist in one hand, and she cried out.

 "Stop, stop it, you're hurting me..... Dad!" She screamed, "Help!" 

He covered her mouth with his other hand, seeming to think her a weak girl, he let her hands drop and continued to grope her.

 She suddenly froze, and even in the dark of night and from a camera, Peter could tell something wrong just happened.

 Her voice made the room drop several degrees and made shivers run up both their backs.

 "I. Said. Stop!" 

She brought the palm of her hand back and slammed it into the man's nose.

 A sickening crunch, then thud followed.

 The video stopped, and he read the police report, and saw a note that mentioned...

" Shuri? Look up the Ketchum family in Helena MT". 

Shuri shook her head, "Her maiden name isn't Homen, it was her mother's.... why would she do that...". 

A newspaper showed the names of the missing from the blip, including 3 out of 4 of the Homen's.

 "She was alone the entire 5 years.... and her mother died several years before the blip..." Shuri whispered.

 Peter breathed in deeply, "I need to find her" He said quietly. 

She nodded and watched him go, turning back to the screen.

 She kept digging, from the time she was little to the blip, 

and the more she saw, the more she wanted to run to Tony and make sure that the combined trauma wouldn't destroy him.
