"Pakkun?"
"Yeah, pup?"
"Why did papa ground me?" She pouted and sat with the dogs surrounding her. Bull, who she was currently petting, licked her to turn her frown upside down. In response to the dog's gesture, she giggled and grinned.
"Probably because you swore at an elder and he got mad." She winced but didn't regret it one bit.
"Old people are ugly and just waiting to expire. Why does it matter if they get mad?" He snorted and shrugged, not bothering to explain.
"Ask the boss when he's back from his mission."
"Mission?!" She jumped up and grinned. "Let's go too!"
"Uh-Uh." Pakkun bit the back of her collar and dragged her to her bedroom. "Boss will kill us."
"I'll protect you. I'm the strongest."
"Sure." A little dejected that she couldn't go on the mission. Sora huffed and climbed into the protection of the bed covers. Doing their job, the dogs slowly climbed onto the bed and curled around her.
She let out an audible 'oof' when bull dropped onto her stomach, and the others curled somewhere on the bed. Pakkun grunted and allowed her small arms to wrap around him, cuddling the dog. But even though there wasn't too much space, they all made sure to leave just enough for the elite jonin.
Within ten minutes, they all fell asleep, awaiting the silver haired shinobis return.
Two hours later, the door creaked open and a tired Kakashi stepped in with blood on him. Stumbling and doing his best not to make any noise so as to not wake up his daughter-- If she was even sleeping.
After a warm shower, he tossed a sleeveless shirt on with some warm sweatpants and practically dragged himself to the bedroom.
"Sora?" He almost smiled a little at the adorable scene but caught himself just before doing so. Pakkun raised his head and greeted the male with a nod, returning to resting his head on the toddler's chest.
The dogs all shuffled a little to allow their boss to join. Kakashi sighed and picked Sora up, laying down and placing her on his chest with his hand protectively on her head and the other on her back. Pakkun rolled his eyes sassily and huffed, moving to the male's stomach and curling on it.
'Fine then. Not like I was cuddling with her first.'
"Pakkun," Kakashi grunted and closed the night light.
