chapter 28

Its been 2 weeks since i broke my leg. I wasnt allowed to leave the room or go to missions.

Chuuya was by my side every single day and hour. He wouldnt let me leave when i attempted to go to help at the big fight between the guild and the agency with the mafia.

I heard that atsushi and Akutagawa cooperated and killed Francis. Many from the guild died. I dont know who remained alive but i dont really care.

Lies i actually hope Lucy and Mark are fine. The rest can die peaceful.

Today i overslept. I woke up by a sudden bam.

"WHAT?!" I shot up and looked at the place where the voice came from. At the door i saw Akutagawa with a plate.

"You are still sleeping stupid?" He said monoted and placed the plate next to my bed.

"Why are you here?" I asked suspicious as i took the coffee. I didnt expect him here.

"Chuuya is at a meeting with the executives" he scoffed and was about to leave.

"Anything else?" He turned to face me and i shaked my head as a no.

"Good" he sigh and left closing the door behind him.

I took the sandwich and started to eat while drinking my coffee. I wonder what this meeting is about.

My thoughts were quickly cut as i heard the door open this time slowly.

I turned to see who it was and it was Tachihara. He was carrying a wheel chair and i looked confused at him.

"Koyo wants to see you." He said smiling. I havent really talked to him but he seems like a good guy.

"Me?" Why would she want me?

He nodded and then came to my side.

"I will carry you there with this chair. I will help you get up" he offered and i sat on the wheel chair.

As we were wandering the mafia corridors i was looking around trying to guess why she wanted me.

"Do you know what this is about?" I asked after a while, breaking the silence.

"I will take a guess and say that you are moving executives maybe" he shrug his shoulders and we reached Koyo's office.

When we got in i saw Chuuya and her sitting at two chairs waiting for me.

"What is this about?" I asked confused as tachihara was next to me.

"Hello miss l/n! I called you here because i have important news to deliver you" she started to explain and chuuya was looking away.

"Go on"

"You will move executives! From now on you will be under my command not Chuuya's. I don't know what happened between you two and he asked you to transfer but i am looking forward to work with you!" She smiled at me happy.

Chuuya did what? Huh? What is happening?

"Oh really?" I asked surprised. Honestly i didnt wait for Tachihara to be right.

I glanced at him and sighed. I mean its for the best i guess.

"Dont worry it wont be for long. You are very promising like Melody so if you behave then you will move to the lizards or work with Akutagawa" she smiled even happier.

I better behave and be left alone. I don't really look forward to working with her. I heard stories about her obsession with Kyoka.

I smiled back and glanced at Chuuya. He still wasnt looking at me and was hiding under his hat. Maybe he feels bad for me or embarassed? Either way i dont care. I cant wait to leave from him and never talk to each other again.

*3 weeks later*

"I am really happy we got to meet here!" Dazai said as he drunk his coffee.

"Cut the crap and get into the point. What did you want to tell me about Melody?" I asked forrowing my eyebrows at him.

Earlier today Dazai called me and told me he wanted to say something about Melody. He said he would tell me instead of Chuuya. Of course i agreed because i could finally learn the truth.

Chuuya didnt have the opportunity to do so because we havent talked after i changed executives. I didnt even see him much. But when i did... My heart couldn't stop but beat fast. I hate this feeling. Maybe i will try to compete a double suicide with Dazai as he keeps bugging me about this.

I was happy to see him though. The last week we have had a lot secret meetings and i got to know a lot about him and his relationship. He was a good company and the time would pass easily when i didnt have a mission.

"Be patient young lady! I also said that  i wanted advice in exchange for these secret informations!" He said with a serious look.

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"So what is it? Let me guess. Ways to die?" I said with sarcasm and he shaked his head as no.

"No its about you actually. Are you interested in joining the agency?" He asked out if the blue.

"What?! You said you wnated advice not to offer me a job" i looked confused at him.

"Oh i need advice! You are a girl so i need advice at how to make a girl fall in love with me and complete suicide with me." He joked and i giggled.

"No but seriously do you want to join us?" He asked again serious.

I mean i would love to work with them but i have mori on my back.

"Dont worry about Mori. We will protect you" he answered my thoughts and i looked at him surprised. Damn he is good.

"I need time to think. Its a serious decision." I sighed and closed my eyes while holding my head.

"Sure. You have all the time you want. Expect you need to tell me in 2 weeks"

I nodded and i took a sip of my coffee while opening my eyes again and seeing him smile.

"Now tell me about Melody" i said impatient.

"You didnt give my advice yet" he crossed his arms and looked away.

"Ugh. In the end i will be the one to strangle you if you keep annoying me" i forrowed and he made a face that was scared.

"Fine fine. So how do i say this?" He started to think to himself.

"Serious"

"Aw come on!" He comaplined and hit his head on the table.

"JUST START SPEAKING BEFORE I CUR YOUR HEAD OFF!" i shouted and he got up smiling at me.

"Calm down geez. You remind me of someone" he scoffed and got serious.

"Remember when i told you about the cure?" He started and i nodded.

"How could i forget?"

"Yeah well i have great news! You are already cured but i wanted you to accept it so thats why i faked a cure!" He said excited with his hands up.

"WHAT?!"
