Standing beside the gate of their school, Mashiho and Jeongwoo are waiting for Junghwan and Haruto to arrive. It is already a part of Jeongwoo and Mashiho's everyday routine since they are the early birds among the four of them.
"Have you heard about the new students that are transferring today?" Mashiho asks Jeongwoo.
"Transfer students again?" Jeongwoo slightly laughed.
"I know right," Mashiho breathed out. "I might faint," he added.
Jeongwoo shook his head before looking around. His eyes then found the unfamiliar faces that entered the school gate.
"That might be them," Jeongwoo tells Mashiho as he puckered his lips together, pointing at the new faces.
Mashiho followed the direction where Jeongwoo's lips are pointing at. There, he saw the unfamiliar faces.
The other students shared whispers to each other, talking about the new students. Jeongwoo and Mashiho could only stare at the face of the six guys that are walking confidently.
"There they are!"
Jeongwoo and Mashiho moved their eyes behind the new students, only to see a happy Junghwan pulling, more like dragging Haruto by the arm.
"They are cool, right?" Junghwan grinned as he watched the back of the new students. "One of them greeted Haruto and I when he noticed that we are wearing the same school uniform as them."
The six new guys took the way that leads to the principal's office. Some curious students followed behind them, while the others minded their own business.
Meanwhile, the four boys started to walk towards the school corridor as the atmosphere lightened up little by little.
"You got his name?" Jeongwoo asks Junghwan.
"Yoon Jaehyuk," Junghwan giggled. "He is so nice! He was that one wearing a light gray backpack!"
Mashiho could only smile at Junghwan's cuteness. Meanwhile, Jeongwoo noticed that Haruto did speak a single word ever since he entered the school.
"Is something bothering you?" Jeongwoo asked.
Haruto blinked his eyes before looking at Jeongwoo. He shook his head, bringing his gaze back on the school corridor after.
"I don't buy lies," Jeongwoo whispered.
"I'm just not feeling well," Haruto quietly spoke. "Just a little headache."
"Should I take you to the clinic?"
"No, thank you. I can manage," Haruto reassures the latter.
They headed to the locker section, opening their respective lockers to get their books that are needed for today's classes.
"Yejin!" Junghwan excitedly called the shy girl as soon as he spotted her walking towards the locker section.
"Good morning, Junghwan," Yejin greeted the younger boy before opening her locker that is only beside Junghwan's.
"Will you eat lunch with us again later?" asked Junghwan after getting all of his books, gently closing his own locker.
Yejin gave him a sad smile. "I think I can't. But maybe tomorrow, I will."
"You have new friends now?" Mashiho chimes in, clutching his books onto his chest.
"No, it's not like that!" Yejin defends herself. "Have you guys heard about the new students?"
Both Mashiho and Junghwan nodded their heads. Jeongwoo and Haruto got curious on what they were talking about, so they decided to join.
"They are my older brother's friends and he asked me to be with them since I am also new in this school," Yejin explains.
"Well," Jeongwoo began. "We can show them around the school after our lunch break later since this school doesn't have classes on the first afternoon period during Thursdays."
"Really?" Yejin happily exclaimed. "You guys are just so nice."
"Well, I am not," Haruto said out of the blue, making all three pair of eyes to look at him.
"Dude, just at least be nice for today," Jeongwoo tells the latter. "Anyways, let's just go to our classes."
"See you later!" Mashiho beamed before jogging on the hallway that leads to the other building.
"You want us to drop you off?" Jeongwoo asks Junghwan.
The younger boy shook his head. "I'll be fine," Junghwan reassures them. "See you at lunch break!" he waved goodbye before he went off, heading upstairs to the third floor where his first class is.
Meanwhile, Yejin and the two boys are left by the locker section.
"Yejin and I have the same classes throughout the morning," Jeongwoo tells Haruto. "So, we'll get going?"
"Alright," Haruto coldly spoke before his eyes landed on Yejin. "See you later, freaky girl," he told her before walking away.
Slowly breathing out, Jeongwoo rolled his eyes. "I'm sorry about Haruto. He has a sharp tongue and uses it on those people whom he does not like."
"Does that mean that he doesn't like me hanging out with you guys?" asked Yejin as her and Jeongwoo started to head to their first morning class.
"Yejin, I did not mean it that way. I'm sorry for that, okay?" Jeongwoo apologizes. "I meant, Haruto is just like that since you are our new friend. He's a good guy when you get to know him a little further."
"I just find him intimidating," Yejin confessed. "I don't know, there's just something about him."
Jeongwoo let out a chuckle as he ruffled Yejin's hair. "You are so cute when you're getting shy or confused."
"I am not cute," Yejin mumbled, but Jeongwoo still heard it.
"Say that again and just forget that we know each other after."
Their eyes met for a second before they bursted out laughing, earning the attention of the other students that they pass by.
"Good thing that Jeongwoo is treating her nicely."
"I also heard the the newbies came from the same school as her."
"You think those new guys are delinquents too?"
"At least, they have the looks."
Jeongwoo was somehow annoyed at the words that he heard, but he did not show it to his face because he doesn't want to ruin the bright atmosphere between him and Yejin.
