Weakly walking by the hallway of the school, Haruto headed to his last class before the lunch break.

On the way, he passed by Yejin who is leaning herself on the wall with her head hung low.

"Aren't you going to your next class?" the boy asked as he stopped in front of her.

Yejin only shook her head, not even bothering to look up at Haruto who is staring down at her.

"You know, on the school's rooftop, there's a mini garden. It could help you ease the heavy feeling inside you. I'm down if you wanted to go there."

Yejin finally looked up, her glossy eyes meeting Haruto's cold ones.

"I'll take that as a yes," said Haruto as he started to walk again.

This time, Yejin followed him. She has never been up on the school's rooftop. The fifth floor of Treasure High is the highest floor where she laid her feet on.

Both doing cutting classes for the first time, Haruto and Yejin quietly walked up the staircases. It took them a while to reach Treasure High's rooftop.

"Here we are," Haruto breathed out as he led Yejin to the mini garden of the school's rooftop. "Pick on these benches where you wanted to sit," he added, pointing to the different benches.

Yejin decided to sit on the bench near the edge of the rooftop. Haruto followed, but he did not bother to sit with Yejin. Instead, he rested both of his arms by the barrier of the school's rooftop, eyes focused on the view below.

"I really do not know how to comfort someone," Haruto confessed out of the blue. "But I listen very well. You can let it all out now and I'll listen to those."

The boy waited for the girl to speak, but he heard nothing from her. Only the blowing of the wind engulfed the silence between them.

Haruto looked back, only to see Yejin staring blankly at the blue sky with tears trickling down her face.

The boy let out a sigh as he walked up to her. Staring at Yejin for a few seconds, Haruto knew that it was hard for her to talk about what she exactly feels.

He sat on the bench, not giving a space between his and her body. Haruto did not waste any time to wrap both of his arms around Yejin.

"Would you let it all out now?" he asked her with a low voice as he rested his chin on her shoulder.

Just then, a sob escaped from Yejin's mouth, followed by another. Her walls went down just because of a comforting hug.

A part of Haruto's polo uniform was already soaked in Yejin's tears, but he is unbothered.

A person's feeling is much more important than my uniform, he thought.

"You really won't say anything?" asked Haruto while rubbing Yejin's back, still hugging her.

The girl only shook her head, not wanting to say anything.

"Alright, continue crying then."

"Look, there is no way that Haruto would do that."

"Believe me, Junghwan. He wasn't in our class earlier. The subject teacher even asked me where Haruto is and I can't even find the right words to respond."

"Do you have any idea on his whereabouts?"

Jeongwoo shook his head as he was unable to answer Junghwan's question. The younger boy let out a sigh, not knowing what to do.

"We shouldn't let Mashiho know about this," Jeongwoo stated as him and Junghwan walked further the school corridor. "I could not bear to see him mad because it literally scares the shit out of─"

"What's that secret that you don't want Mashiho to find out?"

Both Jeongwoo and Junghwan froze on their tracks after hearing the voice that spoke behind them. It made them swallow the growing lump on their throat.

Slowly, they looked back, seeing Jihoon with a smirk plastered on his lips.

Jeongwoo then let out a nervous laughter, nudging Junghwan by the side, asking for help.

"Uhm, well," Junghwan began as he fiddled his fingers. "Jeongwoo doesn't want Mashiho to know that he's scared of him."

Lips pursed together, Jihoon nodded his head. "Mashi, did you hear that? Jeongwoo is scared of you," he chuckled after.

Surprised and relieved at the same time, both Jeongwoo and Junghwan breathed out.

Mashiho then came out from the end of the school corridor with a smug look on his face. The other boys were also there, talking while walking.

"Should we get lunch?" asked Hyunsuk while checking their circle of friends. His eyebrows then furrowed after noticing that some people were missing. "Where's Asahi?"

"Restroom," Yoshinori responded despite being focused on playing a game with his phone.

"How about Haruto and Yejin?" Hyunsuk asked.

"Jeongwoo," Mashiho called out. "You and Haruto have the same class before lunch. Where is he?"

Nervousness hit Jeongwoo hard once again. How will he respond to Mashiho?

"Sorry for us being late."

The boys all turned their heads by the staircase, only to see Yejin coming down with Haruto following behind her.

"Where have you guys been?" asked Jihoon.

"A teacher asked for our help to carry out some papers by the faculty room," Haruto stated as if it was the truth.

Seconds after, his eyes met Jeongwoo's. Haruto knew that he has to tell his best friend on what caused him to do cutting classes.

Asahi then appeared by the end of the school corridor, finally completing the circle of friends. They started to walk, taking the way that will lead them to the school's cafeteria.

"What a liar," Asahi muttered under his breath from the back. No one heard it because they were walking ahead of him.

His eyes darted on Haruto's back, glaring for some reason.

"From the school's rooftop to faculty room," he snickered quietly. "That was a smooth lie, Watanabe."
