Five days before Christmas, and the weather is totally freezing. The buildings and streets of the city are covered with white snow, making the surroundings much colder.

Stuffing his cold hands inside his padded jacket, Haruto let out a sigh. "I should've stayed home and roasted myself through the bonfire," he mumbled.

Haruto was unable to fly back to Japan for some reason, resulting for him to spend his holiday alone.

Today, he is strolling on the busy streets of the city. He does not have an exact destination, and it did not bother him. He prefers to get tired on walking for nothing rather than doing nothing at all.

Haruto caught a glimpse of a small truck that is parked near the intersection. It sells cups of hot chocolate that is perfect for the cold season.

Well, Haruto is now desperate to feel some warmth inside him. He jogged towards the small truck, got himself a good cup of hot chocolate after he paid for it.

Relief washed over the young boy as he finally felt his insides getting warm. If you thought that he was satisfied on that one cup of hot chocolate, then you are wrong.

Haruto got three more cups for himself, making it four in total. He stood beside the truck after that, not feeling the urge to walk anymore.

"Great," he breathed out through the cold. He then thought for a while on what to do next, but the sudden ringing of his phone interrupted his thoughts.

Haruto fished out his phone from the pocket of his jeans. As the screen of his phone lit up, Jeongwoo's name was displayed on the caller ID.

"Haruto!" Jeongwoo whined as soon as his call was picked up. "I feel bad because I can't spend time with you this holiday. Perhaps, are you with either Junkyu or Chaemin?"

"No," Haruto briefly responded. "Junkyu went to his hometown, as well as Chaemin. I am literally alone, you know?" he joked.

"Hey! Don't make me feel like I am the worst best friend ever!"

"Aren't you?"

"Meanie," Jeongwoo muttered on the other line. "But, you know what? I have a present for you."

Haruto couldn't help but to smile at what Jeongwoo said. "Care to give me clues? I would love that," he told the latter.

"There is no surprise if I would give you clues on what my present is. One thing for sure is that, you will love it," Jeongwoo said lovingly. "Anyways, I gotta hang up now. See you on new year's eve─ shit, why did I say that..."

Haruto bit his lower lip, preventing himself to laugh when he found out Jeongwoo's present for him. "Yeah, I would definitely love that present from you. See you soon, Jeongwoo."

He immediately hung up the call and let out a soft chuckle, remembering on how Jeongwoo exposed his own present for him.

With a sigh, Haruto took a step, ready to leave as he wanted to go home after having four cups of hot chocolate. All of a sudden, a familiar voice called out his name.

"Haruto!"

As he looked in front of him, he saw Yejin running towards his direction. Her long hair bouncing at every step that she would take from her running and the smile on her lips never left.

"Are you here to get a cup of hot chocolate?" Yejin asked as soon as he stopped in front of the tall boy, a finger pointing towards the small truck.
