Chapter 34: The necklace

Tris pov:

"Chicago? As is Chicago, Illinois?" I ask Max.
"Ya... I didn't know there is another Chicago." Max says confused.
"No, there's not. It's just that I guess I'm kind of shocked. I haven't been there since you discovered me." I say snapping out of whatever daze I was in.

"Well Ya, we go in a week and a half. You will be performing at North Chicago high school, your old school. Until then, a new show is starting and they want you to be on the pilot episode. Basically all you do is go around and video people's reactions of when they see you. You're going to go do the paperwork and practice run tomorrow, then we will record for a few more days. You're also going to make a few cameos on shows like Sesame Street. I know that sounds weird, but all of the biggest stars around did it at some point. Also, one last thing. You were invited to the Insurgent Premiere, but that's in three weeks." Max informs.

"Okay, whatever. I'm tired, so I'm gonna go to bed, see Ya tomorrow." I yawn and hang up.

Chicago. I'm going back to Chicago.
I don't think I should tell any of my friends. I know they will be there if I'm performing at school. I'd rather this be a surprise.

Then more things start racing through my mind as I lay in bed.
Will Tobias propose? I love him, he loves me, and it has been that way all along, so why wouldn't he?

We can have a life together, we could have kids of our own one day, and they could grow up with our friends' kids. It would be, perfect.

It would be real.

Time skip to a day later

"Okay Tris, this is the pilot episode of this new show called Guess Who, so you need to look your best." My stylist says as we prepare to film this tv show. We will just go door to door and film people's reactions of them seeing me. I know it sounds a bit boring, but apparently it will "keep people laughing."

When I think she is finished getting me ready, I start walking away, but she stops me, before I can get far. "Wait Tris. Uh, here." She says a bit hesitantly as if she is trying to decide what to do. She places a large necklace around my neck. When I look down at it, I slightly lay my hand on top of it. It is covered in what I think is diamonds.

"Is this real?" I ask my designer- Monica. She lets out a short shaky laugh. "No darling, of course not. It's fake, but the people watching won't know that." She says. For a moment she just stands there staring at my necklace in a daze. I clear my throat and she straightens up collecting herself. "You're ready." She says avoiding my eyes. She walks out and I mutter a "thank you."

I walk towards the the director so I so I can talk to him before the practice run.

"Hey Rob, so how is this first run going to work?" I ask. "Hey Tris, well this first time there won't be any cameras or anything. I won't even be there. My assistant Jessie will be there with you the whole time. Oh here he is now. Hey Jessie, this is Tris Prior, the girl you will be assisting today. Tris this is Jessie, you guys can get to know each other while you walk to the first house which is around corner on Volva drive and is house number 1408. You will continue on to every other house. See you in a little while." Rob says walking away.

Jessie and I start walking towards the street that the house is on. We make small talk for a little bit, then he says "That necklace is beautiful, where did you get it?"

"Oh, my designer Monica put it on me." I say. "Oh, Monica and I are good friends." He says as we arrive at the house. "Okay let's do this." I say with a smile and knock on the door.

After a moment of waiting, the door swings open. An old man stands at the door. His eyes widen.
"Please don't hurt me." He weakly cries. "Why would I hurt you sir?" I ask him. "Be- Because" he points at my necklace. "You're the jewel thief."
He then passes out.

Hey initiates! WOAHHHHH CAN YOU SAY PLOT TWIST!!!!
What do you think is happening right now? It appears that Tris has been framed!

I am going to be posting a review for Insurgent this Friday or Saturday after I have seen it so stick around for that.

GUYS INSURGENT IS REALLY 5 (Tris) DAYS AWAY!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! It's already been and whole year since divergent, and in a year we will already be going into Allegiant. And we are also going to see Allegiant part two in less than two years!!!
