The struggle is real

Chapter 18: MAZE RUNNER

Hey initiates, this isn't a chapter but I decided we need to talk about The Maze Runner!!! IT COMES OUT TONIGHT! *hyperventilating*

I was at the movies watching dolphin tale last night and I saw a little line for the Maze Runner forming and I was like fangirling and these " fake fans " were looking at me like I was crazy but I was like " nothing to see here, move along. Just a fangirl in its natural habitat."

Haha then, right as I was about to leave this girl about my age that looked like the only book reader there was like,

" Are you going to see the Maze Runner tonight?!" And she obviously wanted to hang out and see the movie with a real fan, but I was like " No, I can't see it tonight, I'm seeing it tomorrow night." And I felt like the most awful person in the world.

But then of course my Grandpa came to the rescue😒... He was like telling her that it was too late for me to go that night, AND IT WAS LIKE 9:00!!! I was like thinking in my head, the reason I can't go tonight is:

•my little brother and sister were there.

• you have work tomorrow

• I am seeing it with a group of friends tonight.

• and I'm homeschooled so I don't have to wake up super early ( plus I did double work yesterday so that I wouldn't have to work today!)

THEN, when we left he was like,

" You should have talked to her more, she just wanted a friend, she is the only girl her age and you should have been nicer ( etc.)

Also, 2 days ago, ( I was still at my grandparents then) I was telling him about going to see the maze runner with three of my best friends, but he was like, "what about ----?" ( not saying a name) I was like " she doesn't really like to see movies or read books." And he was like " you should have at least invited her, she will feel left out now."

Then we went into this whole argument about leaving people out... I CANT INVITE ALL OF MY FRIENDS! Ughhh anyways... Oh and just so you know, if I ever mention my Grandpa again he reads all the books I have read, and I'm not ashamed to say that I usually go to all these new book -movie premieres with him instead of friends, but tonight I'm not! Oh, and he just finished Allegiant and is so mad that I made him read it and when he called me he was like " We need to find that book author and beat her with a stick!" it was SO funny!

Okay so did any of you see the movie last night?! Was it a good or bad adaptation.

I am aware that Thomas doesn't remember his name right away, and in my opinion, just based off the commercials, it honestly does look more like... Well " techy "

I don't know how else to put it... Well I guess I could say it looks like there is quiet a bit more technology in this than there is in the books. Would you guys agree?

Well okay, I will update my thoughts and feelings for the new maze runner movie tonight, or tomorrow morning.
