Chapter 11 So Is This How Its Gonna Be?

*Codie's Pov*

When the bell rung I grabbed my stuff and raced out the door. I went down the hallway and turned to the left. I walked into the last room on you left. It's the art teacher Mrs. Green's room (My Aunt). I walked in and put my stuff on the table and I walked back into the back of the room. I was getting colors out when Alec came in and asked me "Why the art room?" Then Marshall came in. He looked at Alec and said "Because this is the only place she likes to go without being judged or hated." Then Alec says something but I can't hear it. Then my aunt- Mrs.Green came in.. "Its lovely to see you again Codie, and Marshall." Mrs.Green said. "Who's this" She asked. "That's Alec. He's my new friend." I say looking at my aunt.

"Oh, Well you are brave to be around Codie this long" Mrs.Green said. Then Alec asked my aunt what her name was. "My name is Mrs.Green. I am Codie's third aunt." She said walking to the doors. Then she turned around and looked at me once again. "Codie, when your done just leave it there I will clean it up later." She said closing the door.

Then Marshall said "Dude, what the fuck is your damn name?" "The names Alec".

When I heard Alec say his name to Marshall. I started getting out paint. I walked to the cabinet and I pulled out some black, dark blue, pink, orange. I picked up the paints and walked over to the table.

I put the paints down and I go to the closet. I get a painting poster. I lay it on the table and I go to back to the closet and get 3 paint brushes. I get the Mason jar that is by the sink and fill it up with water. I put the paint brushes in the jar and I get my paint towel from the closet.

I set all of this on the table. I get my paint tray out of Mrs.Green's desk. I walk back over to the table. I went behind me and hung the painting poster on the wall. Then I took some paint and I put it in the paint tray. I got some pink and orange. I mixed them together and I got purple. I took my paint brush and got Purple on it. Then I started throwing it at the poster. I got some on it. Then I grabbed another brush and put blue on it. I then threw some at the poster. Then I grabbed the last paint brush and covered it in black. Then I threw black at it.

When I was done I looked at my work. It was actually very good. Marshall came over and took it. He then hung it up on the wall with the rest of the paintings that I have done in the past.

Then Hunter comes in. She looks around and of course she sees Alec. She puts her stuff down. Comes to hug me then she goes to Alec. They are chatting and I could see the connection. "They will get together sooner or later." I though to myself.

We stayed and all talked for a little bit. I am still mad at Marshall but how can I stay away from one of my best friends? We made up I guess. I told him that I would come back home.

So then the bell rung. Time for fifth period. I had Reading. Yay. So I showed Alec the way. He decides to sit by Hunter instead. I can understand that. Considering they are dating now. So is this how it's gonna be? Alright. So I grabbed my Journal and I wanted to finish my song. I got halfway through then the stupid teacher decides to finally come.

I put my journal up. He started talking and I zoned out. I was thinking about Nate the while time till the bell rung again for seventh period. I waited for Alec. Again. I began walking away. He can find his own way if he doesn't hurry his ass up.

He catches up. We go into the classroom and I sit in the back of the classroom. Alec goes and sits by Hunter. Then I put my earphones in and I put "Nas" on. I listen to it all period. Then when the bell rings Hunter walks up to me.

"I have something to tell you later" Hunter said. "Alright, I also have something to tell you." I say putting my phone up. Then I walked to my locker. I put my books in. I put my phone in my pocket. I grab my bag and close my locker. I walk to eighth period. Which for me is a free period. Alec walks up to me. "So. Where are we going?" He asked.

"We are going to the track to walk." I said putting my bag on my back. "Why the track?" Alec asked. "Because you can't go off campus and I used to be in Track.

"Why walk when you can run?" He asked. "Because walking can clear a mind faster." I say walking out of the doors. "Ok. I think that I can out run you." He said. "Is that a challenge?" I asked smirking. "Yes it is." He said smirking back.

"Oh it's on" I say with a serious face. We walk to the track. I put my bag on the bleachers. I make sure my shoes are right tight and the laces are tucked in my shoe. I make sure my hair band is tight..

Alec is fixing his shoes. He tightens his belt buckle then he flips his hair sideways. We walk to the line. Then Hunter comes. She sees us at the line. I guess she got what we was doing. She put her books down. She walks up to us.

"Dude? Are you crazy your ass is going to lose." She said to Alec. "Nah. I think I can take her." He says. "Alright. Your death bed." She said. She walks to the other side. "On go you go." She says.

"On your mark get ready" She says. "GO!" I take off. I stay at a steady Pace. I can see that Alec is huffing. Already. Then I see him start to pick up his Pace. So I do the same. We run 4 laps. I started sweating a huffing a little. Nothing compared to Alec. He already had his shirt off because he sweat through it. He was like a dog and panting. At the end of the fifth lap he quit.

I see him fall backwards on the grass. I jog over to him. "How can you run that far and fast?" He asked panting. "I was the best in the state." I say plopping down beside him. "Damn. I need to go back to the gym." He said.

"Hah. Yeah you do." I said. "Damn I should have brought a water." He said. Then Hunter came over with our bags. "Haha. Alec you got your ass whopped by my best friend." She said sitting by me. "Yeah. Okay." He said.

I dug around in my bag. "Ah ha!" I said pulling out a bottle of water. "Wanna drink?" I ask Alec. "Damn right I do." He said grabbing it out of my hand. He opened it a chugged it down. It was a full bottle. Now it's half way gone.

Alec handed me the water bottle. "Thanks." He said. "Welcome." I said drinking the rest of the bottle. "What about me? Don't I get a drink?" Hunter asked. "Um. No. I can spit in it and give it to you." I said laughing. Then Alec started to chuckle. "I'm good." Hunter said.

"So what's the news you wanted to tell me." I said laying down. "Well. Alec and I are kinda dating." She said scarily. I think day right back up. "That's awesome!!! You derisive to be happy. After the you know what happened." I said.

"So what was you going to tell me?" She asked. "Well. I am moving back in with Marshall." I said. Then Hunters mouth fell like to the ground. I crawled over to her. "Honey. Keep your mouth closed you could catch flies." I said closing her mouth. Then her eyes started to build up with tears.

"Oh honey don't cry. Then your gonna make me cry." I said hugging her. "But I don't want you to go back there. I won't allow it." She said sniffling. "I know. I know" I said rubbing her back in circles. "Your hair smells weird but good." She said. Then I burs red into a laugh. After a minute Hunter and I were finally recovering.

"Don't get you all." Alec said shaking his head. "What don't you get?" Hunter and I said at the same time. "Well I don't get that, and like one minute you guys will get all emotional then next you guys are bursting out into laughter." He said.
