Before the group made it to the cliff, Instructor Henri had already reached it and was prepared to catch any of the falling students. Although he still wanted to watch Tih, it was his job as their teacher to put their safety first.

As most of the students had to slow their speed while crossing the cliff, the students that were originally at the back managed to catch up with the ones at the front.

The instructor was not expecting them to all cross at the same time, it looks like he overestimated his students. They have to take more time than he originally planned for when crossing the bridge.

This is a bad thing for the instructor. He will not interfere, as it would disrupt the fairness, but if two or more students fall at once, he won't be able to save all of them. Instructor Henri hoped it wouldn't come to that, but he ended up jinxing it.

Kai and his group, along with two other students are currently traversing a small ledge. On the left side is the cliff wall and on the right is open space, and there's only room for one person at a time. The group isn't in the lead, nor in last place. They're situated in the middle area of all the students.

The order of the single file line is Sherlock, Lucien, another child, Tih, Kai, another child, with Sherlock being in the front. There are other students ahead of and behind the group, but there are more ahead of them.

The student behind Kai starts getting restless. He believes the cliff is a perfect place to pass people, because everyone is so close together. The ledge is really only wide enough for one person, but in his desperate attempt to pass the people in front of him and have a head start when they moved on to the next section, he risks his chances to swerve around the edge of the ledge and pass the person in front of him. This results in the rock below him cracking under the weight and he starts to fall. Panicking, he grabs onto whatever he can, which happens to be Kai's clothes, pulling him down with him.

The moment the rock cracks, Instructor Henri reacts and dashes towards the scene. He's not sure if he can support both of their weights, but he'll have to try. He plans to grab the two any way he can, before grabbing a ledge, the main problem with this is if the ledge will be able to support their weight or not.

He moved toward the two with a fast reaction time, but someone was even faster than him. The moment Kai starts getting pulled down, Tih removes his eyes from the instructor and moves to Kai. He grabs Kai and the arm that was attached to him and pulls them apart. Then, using the momentum of Kai's fall, spins him in a circle, switching their position. As Tih let's go, Kai is pushed back on the cliff and Tih takes his place. The force of Tih's swing causes him to fall even faster. By the time Instructor Henri reaches them, Tih is too far down the cliffside. He settles for saving the other student.

Kai, who was knocked back by the force and slammed into the wall of the ledge, had the wind knocked out of him. He coughs as he crawls to the ledge, "TIH!!"

The other students hear his shout and pause their movements to look into the direction of the scream. They see a small child plummeting off the side of the cliff, giving them goosebumps from thinking about how that could be them.

Lucien and Sherlock's pupil's shrink and yell as well," Tih!"  "OH SH1T!" They turn to Instructor Henri for help.

No longer wearing a smile, the instructor shakes his head," There's Nothing I Can Do. We Can Send A Rescue Party, But It's Pretty Expensive."

"W-What are the chances of him surv-"

Before Sherlock can finish, he sees the instructor slowly shake his head.

Kai's head blanks. He continues to stare down the cliffside, the image of the child ingrained in his memory. Tih's body was facing up. Kai was able to look into Tih's eyes as he plummeted to the ground. There were no emotions in them. No fear, anger, sadness, hatred, or regret. Tih traded his life for his own, but he could not see any regret in his eyes.

Something inside him breaks as tears spill out of his eyes. He continues to whimper," I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry," unaware of his surrounding. The tears fall down the cliffside.
